I was really excited about this different place. The quische was decent and the coffee is pretty good usually. The owner was not friendly to me and I have been a regular. I wasn’t going to complain about the food because I liked the spot. But most of the food is not good at all… I work closeby. But I won’t be recommending or spending any more money here. My suggestion would be to try the food before selling it. And be friendly to your regulars even if you have never been there when they were there

This is my second time in a while coming to Common Ground Cafe and both times the food was great and the workers were helpful and patient. Pictured: gingerbread muffin w/ clear sprinkles was great, very soft, sweet but not too sweet, and had a nice crunch on top bc of the sprinkles, 8.5/10⭐️ (I would have preferred less sprinkles on top), 24oz sweet cream cold brew w/ caramel & white mocha flavoring, 7/10⭐️ (I prefer very sweet coffee so I should have added more sweet cream maybe?), 2023 holiday hours and main menu pictured as well. My muffin and 24oz sweet cream cold brew was $9.65 I believe.For new customers: good seating inside, very relaxing atmosphere, and good seating outside in front. They also sell beer, little Knick-knacks, paintings, etc. There is a book donation drop off/ free book pick-up outside in front of the outside patio, so it’s a good place to sit and read. It’s located in downtown Hartwell so it’s at a great location if you have errands to run in town. It is also connected to a business called Farmers Daughter who sells things like food, baked goods, Knick-knacks, etc. so it’s nice to browse in there.

can’t stand hartwell because i love coffee and there aren’t a lot of coffee shops, but this place opened and i enjoy it, cute environment and friendly employees :) i get something different every time and all the drinks are good

Lovely local coffee shop adjacent to the nutty sister bakery. From the coffee shop I enjoyed the strawberry banana smoothie and an iced vanilla latte while I also smacked on the most delicious pecan cheese squares - I know, what a combination of flavors! But it worked! The staff were friendly, helpful and quickly efficient. I hope to visit every day this week I'm in the area!

We moved to Hartwell about seven months ago. This is a good coffee shop. The staff is always respectful and helpful. The one thing they could better is, be consistent with the food. One day they have something the next day they do not. Croissants are small for the price and is something they will have one day and be out of the next. Oh, and use Torani Dark Chocolate Sauce in your mocha's it will make them less sweet and more like a real European mocha. Just a thought.

This has been the best dining experience I've ever had. I got the barrel cut filet and a dulce de leches flan for dessert. My grandma got a salmon filet and a guava creme brulee for dessert. All 4 dishes were prepared beautifully and tasted heavenly. We will definitely be coming back.
