Very disappointing. Waited over 40 min for breakfast. And then the country fried steak and potatoes were room temperature. The wait staff was pleasant, however more communication would've been nice. Kinda felt like we were forgotten being in the back room.

When we walked through the door there was no one waiting to seat us. We waited for about 5-10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. The waitress asked us how many we had, walked to a table and put the menus down and then walked away without acknowledging us or seating us. We sat at the table for another 15 minutes before anyone brought us water or took our order. We waited ANOTHER 45 minutes before a member of our party had to walk to the kitchen to ask a waitress about our food because no one was at the front counter to help us. Our food had been sitting there long enough to be cold and stale when we got it. It was also flavorless and tasted like it came from cans and prepackaged food. Also, the omelette that was served to me was not even fully cooked in the center. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the wait, and we were not even given utensils for our food, we had to go to the server station and grab our own because no one was there to hand it to us either. Now, we are all feeling sick and running to the bathroom. I would recommend getting breakfast anywhere else!

Came here for breakfast, ended up staying for brunch because the service took too long. Waitress wasn’t helpful, didn’t check up on us while we were waiting 45 minutes for our food to come out. It wasn’t until one of us said something about our food taking too long for the waitress to finally bring out our food. Magically, our food came out within 2 minutes, mind you it was cold. I don’t mind waiting if it’s being communicated to me that I have to wait, but making us wait for almost an hour for subpar, cold food is something else.

My husband ordered the Colorado omelette, and unfortunately the vegetables weren’t even cooked, the home fries tasted frozen and were undercooked, and the gravy had massive lumps in it. The only positive from his plate was the bacon, which actually was good.
I ordered the white pizza (chicken, spinach, Alfredo sauce), and it was just as disappointing. The chicken tasted boiled, there were maybe four pieces of spinach on the entire pizza, and overall it was very bland with little to no flavor.
The coffee was bad, and to make matters worse, the coffee cup was filthy. The server watched us wiping it out ourselves and didn’t offer another cup until about five minutes later, when he finally brought a clean one.
I will say the server was nice and very apologetic, but after we explained our concerns, nothing else was offered. Honestly, even if it had been, we wouldn’t have ordered anything else at that point.
This visit was not what we expected, and sadly, we wouldn’t return based on this experience.

Took 20+ minutes to seat 2 people when the restaurant was half empty. When we finally sat down, it took over an hour for some biscuits and gravy and 2 two-egg plates, and the bacon was hardly cooked for one of the plates. They told us about halfway through our wait for food that the kitchen printer had an error and stopped printing tickets, but said our food was next to come out, then I watched about 4 other tables get all their food first while we continued waiting for the mediocre breakfast that was eventually served. We watched the table across from us just get up and leave because they couldn’t wait any longer. They had been waiting roughly an hour as well before they gave up, and I don’t blame them.
I would not recommend this place at all. The bathrooms were also horrendous. One of the toilets in the women’s restroom wouldn’t flush and the other toilet was incredible dirty, and the men’s didn’t have any soap and the urinal was broken. Absolutely awful.

Tempest and Coby were excellent. They were working very hard and super busy, yet still maintained high levels of service and attention to our table. Tempest served us the previous night outside and surprised us with two delicious drinks. Will come back again in to town and will be looking for them here. 10/10

Way too long of a wait for food that wasn't good. Service was horrible and lazy from start to finish. The waitress forgot the children's meals and when we asked about them, we were met with a rude attitude from a staff member with face tattoos.
After such poor service, we were then expected to just trust them with our debit card, without being allowed to see a itemized receipt. Be very careful with the bill - they do not allow you to see what you're paying for, expecting you to blindly hand over your hard earned money. Hidden fees were added, and when we asked for clarification, the manager, 'Tempest' was aggressive, disrespectful, and dismissive instead of handling the situation professionally. Far from management material.
The bathrooms were absolutely DISGUSTING and looked like a backwoods outhouse. The place is overpriced for what is essentially gas station quality food, paired with some of the worst service I've ever experienced. Leadership clearly needs restructuring. We were just passing through, but if I'm ever in Helen again, I'll choose McDonald's. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Learn your trade and take care of your customers, the ones paying your salary, the manager is in the wrong line of work. STAY AWAY!

My family and I had breakfast at Alpine Cafe while we were in Helen. We did have to wait about 40 minutes to get a table, which was a bit long, but once we were seated, the experience was better. The omelets were really good, well prepared, and filling. The place itself is cozy and pleasant, with a nice atmosphere that fits the area. Overall, despite the wait, the food and the vibe made it a decent breakfast spot.🥞🍳

We got to the cafe at about 11am amd was told it would be a 25 min wait after already waiting for a host that was no where to be found for 10 mins, when you could clearly see multiple tables open and free. Once we finally got seated it took 15 mins to get drinks and another 20 to get our order taken. It took almost an hour for our food to come out and they have a small menu. We waited 45 mins after eating and never got a check and only saw our waitress once to take our order and drinks. We had other places to be and just left, we couldn't even find anyone to try and get our check. It was 1:30 pm when we finally just left.

My fiance and I arrived around 11 on the dot to be seated to try the place out but there wasnt a hostess at the booth to seat anyone. We waited there about 10 minutes as more peoppe were coming in until finally someoke came out of the back. We were then told it was a 15-20 minute wait for a table of 2. The porch tables were empty and a total of 3 tables had patrons inside eating so we were a bit confused but waited anyways. After roughly 20 minutes we were seated and had our order taken, of which took 40 minutes to receive an order or pancakes and a toasted sandwich with bacon. The food was good but with how long it took, not worth the wait. Almost an hour goes by and no one comes to check on us once we're done and we aren't able to get the bill. Theres people standing up front waiting for a hostess and we never saw our server again. Eventually had to just up and leave because we had places to be.
