We arrived around 9:30am on a Sunday. It was not overly busy (no one waiting for tables), but it took just a few minutes shy of an hour before the food arrived. $15 for a breakfast burrito (shown in picture) is considerably higher than it should be (especially when just down the road a place had a burrito for $9). Food quality was good, but prices and speed of service left a lot to be desired.

We walked into the restaurant visiting from Athens, Georgia for the weekend came to this restaurant got sat down by young male we didn’t get asked our drinks for 15 minutes. Another table came in with a party of 8 and we had a party of four and they took their order before they took our order, I let the Young Male know and he said one second we ended up taking off after seeing they were taking another tables order. We sat down 10 minutes before them. We told him we were leaving he didn’t apologize or anything and just said OK would not be returning back here.

The breakfast is disgusting. I got the egg sandwich and they gave me sausage target than bacon and hard fried egg rather than soft scramble. The sausage was leathery and the sandwich was dry as a bone. The "loaded grits" are just grits with 2 sausage links on top. They never brought us water. All that after a confusing check in process where there was no one at the podium and you had to just hunt someone down. It was a Sunday on a holiday weekend, but considering that is didn't seem overly busy. It was a terrible experience. Will not go back.

Terrible place! The wait time took long, once sited we waiting a long time for the waiter to come take our order. Once we placed our order, it took 45+ minutes to get the food. In the mean time, never came by to see if we needed anything, I asked for a coffee refill several times until finally I got it. Finally when we got our food it was so so... never went back.

DO NOT EVER GO HERE!Poor service.Ask for water and coffee and only get coffee.Ask for plain grits and they bring out cheese grits.Ask if toast can come out first and it comes out with the rest of the food. They charged the table for an extra coffee.Small portions for the price.Potatoes were way to salty while none of the other food seemed to have any seasoning. No one that got the potatoes could even eat them.Half the bacon was burnt, while half the bacon was nearly undercooked. And then, here's the worst part of the already bad experience! They expect you to pay, without seeing your bill. And then the bill wasn't split properly.Instead of placing what each couple had on there actually bill, the waitress just added it all up and divided by the 3 couples.Wr paid $35.02 for the following:2 egg omelet2 pieces of bacon1 slice of toastPotatoesBowl of grits1 pieces of toastWe have eaten at many places in and around Helen over the years and this is the absolute worst experience we have ever had!

My husband and I went for breakfast on our last day in Helen. We were seated in a timely manner, then sat there for over 20 minutes before I waved down an employee to ask if we had a waitresses. Turned out it was her, but no one had told her we were there (not even the waitress serving the table right beside us). She was polite enough. Our order came out in a reasonable amount of time, but the food was mediocre (Huddle House level). The weirdest part was the two guys who showed up and just hung out in the dining room (by then we were the only people in there). One was clearly a heavy drug user and they just stood around talking and laughing about their wild night (this was New Year's Day). Finally, a waitress (tweekers girlfriend or wife) came out and spoke to them, then another waitress came out and they all talked about her awful ex... yes, we were privy to their private conversation... it was just odd and inappropriate. Anyway, overall we weren't impressed at all.

Came here to have breakfast today and the restaurant was half empty, the proceed to sat us down at the end of the restaurant, a dark salon and a dirty table that the host had to clean for us. It was quite funny they chose that section since a lot of tables were open and set up at the main salon. After I inquired if the reservation was required to sit in the main salon and why they put us all the way to the back? The host didn't even bother to offer a different table, she dismissed my inquiry and told me that was any other regular section. They sent the server but we decided to leave. Very rude, not welcoming patrons at all, and on top of that they didn't like the fact we were talking Spanish to each other. Disgusting and racist business. Never again in Helen Giorgia.

Stopped in here for a quick breakfast. Nothing under $11 scrambled eggs, grits and toast. Nice café with fresh food. But beware of the 3% destination fee they put on your bill. I have no idea what that is.

We went here for breakfast. The place wasn't very busy. That should have been the only sign I needed. My wife ordered eggs over easy, toast, country fried steak with gravy, and coffee.I ordered eggs over easy, toast, grits, home fries and apple juice. My eggs came out over hard, the grits were not very palatable, no butter on or for the toast and the home fries were basically tiny pieces of French fries. My wife's toast was the same, the gravy for the country fried steak had zero flavor or seasoning in it and the server brought out her coffee without bringing sugar or cream. just black. After waiting for 10 minutes for the server to come back, which she never did, I got up and asked another employee for cream and sugar. When the server finally came back to the table, she had our check in hand without ever asking if we wanted anything else.My wife then said, "we don't need the check, we need butter for the toast and dry potatoes, and I needed cream and sugar for my coffee, but my husband took care of that."When I looked at the check, I noticed a 3% service fee on it, for what, I have no idea. I pay cash pretty much wherever I go, so that 3% came out of the dismal tip I left the waitress. Not recommended at all. There are way better breakfast places than here.

Cute little country cafe, no frills, but the wait staff is great, and the prices are fair, with a 20% tip, we spent about $70. The food is simple and hearty and I can easily recommend this place for a nice breakfast.

In the restaurant side- Our food was ok. I wanted to add mushrooms to my veggie omelette but nope they wouldn't add anything!! A little aggravating but will deal... I noted that in my journal. The only great part of our breakfast experience was that the waitress was super kind & gave us outstanding service!! Then, I went in the next room to the coffee & candy shop side to order me a latte- that was a completely worse experience!! I don't know who the young lady was taking my latte order & making my drink but she was absolutely unpleasant & pretty unprofessional! I don't think I'd go back there for a long time, if at all!! She was laughing & what looks to be having a blast with another coworker but as soon as I stepped into the cafe her demeanor changed. Smug face, short with me and she was even unkind to another young lady that was a waitress for the restaurant side!! I don't know her deal that day, but she definitely cost y'all a customer. :-/ There are other places to dine at in Helen, so I will press on....
