“I stopped by J’s Sports Bar & Lounge on a Friday night on a whim, and I walked out feeling like I’d discovered a true “hole-in-the-wall” gem. The place had a down-home, relaxed energy that instantly put me at ease — nothing flashy, just a dimly-lit room, a DJ spinning old-school soul and blues, and a few regulars shooting pool in the corner. The crowd was friendly: a mix of locals chatting at the bar, folks gathered for games on the TVs, and couples sharing drinks on the small dance floor.

Drinks were reasonable, and the bartenders seemed to know what they were doing — simple, solid cocktails, cold beers, and a chill vibe all around. I don’t remember the food menu being extensive, but the drink and music combo made up for it. There was a sense of community in the air, like everyone there knew each other or at least felt comfortable enough to hang out together.

What I appreciated most was how unpretentious the place is. It doesn’t try to be trendy or upscale; it’s just a genuine, unpolished bar where you go to unwind, shoot some pool or catch a game, and maybe dance. If you’re in the mood for a laid-back night out, with good drinks and no pressure, J’s Sports Bar & Lounge hits the spot.“

“Overall great place, amazing burgers! Large patties and seasoned well. Even during COVID they did not skimp! Go for a burger, stay for some billiards and beer. Also they are the only place in town with Amberboch on tap, which is the cherry on top for me.“

“Overall the FOOD was OKAY but NOTHING TO WRITE HOME AND BRAG ABOUT! Unless your the kinda person that likes to PLAY OPPOSITE TEMPS With Your Food whereas your Mashed potatoes are Cold but your Iced Sweet Tea is Warm kinda GAMES. I didnt wanna punish my server for the Cooks in the Back of the house especially when I used to work at Applebee's when I was in my 20s as well..... BUT unfortunately MY SERVER (LGBT) Fella had amnesia for some reason. He just KEPT FORGETTING STUFF and my Bill STILL SEEMS WRONG TOO but neverminding that part, lets still tip him $10 at least because he was TRYING TO HANG IN THERE and he seemed overwhelmed I said. The Best Part about this visit was thw Convenient Parking Space In My Opinion. I ordered 3 of the 2 for $25 deals that were supposed to be accompanied by 3 Appetizers and 6 Entrees with 6 Glasses of Sweet Teas and I still paid $125 and some change but on what I don't know. The wait time was 35 mins or so even the lied and told us it'd be 20mins so honestly we were ALMOST READY TO GO BY THE TIME WE FINALLY MADE IT TO THE TABLE TO SIT DOWN WE WERE PRETTY TIRED AND JUST ABOUT READY TO GO AND STILL HAD ANOTHER 30 MINS WAIT AFTER TAKING OUR ORDER BUT WE SURVIVED IT! I just really wasn't Happy with the way that the food was so mediocre and Hot foods were served COLD!!! Even my SIZZLER SERVING SET UP that I ordered WAS DEAD WITH 0 SIZZLE JUST BARELY EVEN WARMED AND ITS ACTUALLY DESIGNED TO FRY AND SIZZLE UPON DELIVERY!!!! THE SERVER TRIED TO KNOCK THE SHRIMP AND ONIONS ETC OFF THE TOP OF MY Chicken in hopes of SNEAKING IN A FAKE FORCED SIZZLING NOISE and IT STILL FAILED. I THINK THE FACT THAT I USED TO WORK AT APPLEBEE'S REALLY MADE THE SERVER TOO COMFORTABLE AND IT MADE ME PAY TOO MUCH ATTENTION TO ALL OF THE FAILS AND COVER UP ATTEMPTS.“
