I stopped by J’s Sports Bar & Lounge on a Friday night on a whim, and I walked out feeling like I’d discovered a true “hole-in-the-wall” gem. The place had a down-home, relaxed energy that instantly put me at ease — nothing flashy, just a dimly-lit room, a DJ spinning old-school soul and blues, and a few regulars shooting pool in the corner.
