I love Big Ed and His bbq! I've been eating this since I was like 17. He used to bring it to my Aunty hair salon in a truck. Then when he got his store front I fell back in love. I usually get the Chicago Style Rib Tip meal served with fries and fresh white bread. It's fresh and good! He's not tingy with the fries or homemade bbq sauce. And can't forget to add some lemonade or Kool aid.
Ordered takeout online, which took forever to pick-up after I arrived. They didn't have one of the menu items I ordered so, I had to substitute it for something else. Customer service was decent. BBQ was okay...myself as well as family found it to be too salty from over seasoning. I had to rinse the ribs to make it palatable. The greens were okay...too much vinegar and salt. I may give them a second try in the future if nothing else is available in the area.
Serious place. Got the chicken bbq baked potato which I'd never heard of. Coughed when he told me the price of $13+. The owner (Big Ed) said that it was actually underpriced and I would understand when I saw it. Literally it was a 8lb container filled with pulled bbq chicken covering a giant potato. Amazing flavor. Could easily feed a family of 3-4. Definitely worth it.
