This was a knee-jerk stop because my mother in law wanted a milkshake after her surgery, and this was the only non-chain place that had them.

When I walked in, I was immediately taken back to kioskis/snack shops in Houston and northern Mexico. Even though the restaurant had apparently been dead all day, there was the smell of ice cream and masa. Because it sparked some nostalgia I wound up getting dinner as well as the shake: two sopes, a torta, strawberry banana shake, and a vanilla shake.

The Sopes. They are LOADED and delicious. All the toppings come in spades, and is easily a whole meal each as opposed to the tiny ones you normally fined out here.

The torta. I got the Cubana, and it delivered. Perfect amount and ratio of ingredients all served on a fresh bollio. Perfect for splitting with someone or devouring on your own after a long work day. Oh, and the cheese.. grilled to perfection with a gooey center. None of that crumbly chihuahua or mozzarella here.

The shakes. I'm not sure if it was homemade ice cream, but it tasted so good I don't care. The strawberry was fresh and with the blended frozen banana made for a perfect sunny day drink. The vanilla was delicious and custardy-y.

All in all, a great experience from a place with no signage. The prices were a bit high, but they aren't smirking on portions or quality.

My husband and I have been going here for a while. They have some of the best desserts and I am OBSESSED with their Gansito flavored ice cream, I truly get it as often as I can because there is NOTHING like it! Also, they’ve recently added food to their menu and I love to get the pizza - birria and it is a TRULY tasty delight . The portions are perfect for what we ordered! I just wish I could get their ice cream by the gallon??

I forgot to take a pic the food is GONE. Lol I live in the neighborhood behind this place and the FOOD was good. Just recently moved to this area and I’m happy about the food choices I have around me, I will definitely be back. Friendly family owned restaurant.

When I walked in I was immediately turned off by the smell of the establishment. My nachos were not good and I didn’t finish them partly because I was already disappointed by the experience, but they were not appetizing at all anyway. Cashier was helpful and friendly but needs to clean his nails if he will be handling food because it isn’t a good look and it made me not want to eat from there. It was my first time here so I won’t be back for food, but the ice cream did look good from the reviews and based off what they have to offer. I wanted to give it a chance despite red flags but overall imdisappointed.

On 08/26 my husband went in and bought me a large fresas con creama and he bought a icecream waffle bowl with cookies and cream and peanut butter. In the midst of eating both items we found hair in BOTH items I immediately stopped eating it mind you We payed 20$ for two items if your going to charge that much at least be sanitary. Its unsanitary and it wasn’t just one little hair in my fresas con crema it looked like animal hair which is disgusting

Kid-friendliness: I will not be buying at this establishment anymore it’s unsanitary
