I planned my trip around Whistle Stop Cafe on my trip back home to Florida. I left Ohio at 5:30 AM to have plenty of time to have dinner there. I got "stuck" in traffic for four hours, unable to get to the cafe as planned. Went to take pictures and the manager, Colby, saw me outside taking photos and asked if he could help me. I told him my unfortunate delay and he offered to cook me something to eat. I said I would come back the next day for lunch. I arrived one hour before the cafe opened and my name was on the first available reservation. Cody personally saw to my perfect experience at the famous "Whistle Stop Cafe". The food was excellent. Strongly suggest the fried green tomatoes and I ordered the catfish meal which was done to perfection. Thank you Cody for your personal attention.

An absolute most for anyone who loved the movie Fried Green Tomatoes! We made the trip with our mother and grandmother and it was an awesome place to visit together! We all ordered a different meal and then shared and everything we tasted was amazing! Be sure to save some room for dessert!

We spent the day visiting Jarrell Plantation and Piedmont Wildlife Refuge. We were heading back for home when we noticed this super cute street just before the railroad tracks. We made the left turn onto the street and parked. I googled the 1st shop and screeched with excitement. We are where Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed. We walked to the end of the street and added our name to the waiting list. We wondered the fleatiques until we heard our name being yelled. We hurried back across the street and were seated. The entire staff was super friendly. The service was fast. We had Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer. Sorry, grandma, they tasted better than I remembered yours tasting. We had burgers and fries. And for dessert, buttermilk pie. I had never had this before, let alone heard of it. It is my absolutely favorite dessert. And I wish I asked to buy the whole pie. The food was fresh, delicious, and the portions big. I brought half my hamburger home, along with that slice of pie. With all that said, I gave 4 stars instead of 5, because the place is very run down. It could really use some love. But don't let the looks fool you. The food is beyond 5 stars. I am so glad we stopped to enjoy this little piece of Hollywood.

We were just there on our way to Florida for vacation. Thought it would be nice to take out son-in-law since he has never been I have to say that we do not treat tourist this way in Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg. Locals have to wait just as long as tourist to get to in to eat. After the 1 and 1/2 hours sitting on the porch waiting, freezing and watching locals be catered in will never go back. Same on the service.

Obviously famous for movie, but a quintessential old small town cafe. Food was good, the sampler appetizer platter is great, with large chicken tenders and the sweet potatoes fries are wonderful. We were there on a Wed at 2:30 during Spring break time frame; it was busy and warm both inside and out. Quaint shop across the street in downtown with antiques, collectibles, books and other garage sale type stuff to pass time while you wait.

We were here on a Thursday, mid afternoon and they were pretty busy. But a friendly server greeted And seated us right away. Within minutes we had a plate of fried green tomatoes and some sweet tea - both delicious and the tea not overly sweet, it was perfect. I had the fried catfish dinner, delighted with the fresh, moist fish. My hubby had the bbq pork sandwich, The secret is in the sauce! The atmosphere is great, just like the movie, and the service was excellent. We had the best time walking around the town afterwards.

The food was good as was the service. It is extremely busy...so plan to relax and walk the strip and shop in the stores made famous in the movie. Its an old town...making the most of its movie fame. Very friendly.

Called into this cafe, literally moved a table a couple of inches and was spoken too like absolute filth, the staff member looked at us like we where dirt off her shoe...

The Whistle Stop Cafe had delicious food and a fun environment. Our server, Miranda was great! My daughter has gluten and dairy intolerance and had several menu options. Including dessert! We’ll definitely be back!
