Went with a group from work and a visiting out of country guest. The food was mediocre. Kinda expected. They have been going down hill for a while now. It’s not bad, just disappointing for the price point.Their fried green tomatoes are great - but they were OUT of tomatoes at a 5:30 dinner time ?

Went for the Valentine's dinner. Service was painfully slow. A table near us looked like they were about to leave while waiting for their server to even greet them. They were NOT busy, so no real reason. The meal was WAY overpriced for the barely adequate food that was served. The steak was overcooked and smaller than advertised. Dessert was the highlight/only good thing about the meal.

This restaurant is close to where we live. We have been here many times and really want to like the place, but it is very inconsistent. Sometimes okay, sometimes terrible. We always feel like they are charging as much as possible for the quality. For our tastes, the food is way over salted. The menu pretends to be Louisiana, but skip the gumbo! The service is sometimes great, sometimes terrible. No amount of "ambiance" can overcome bad food, limited menu, poor service and inconsistency. I sincerely hope the owners buckle down to actually running a good restaurant that people can trust to deliver a consistently good meal...every time.

Came on a Sunday at 1:30 pm. Two other customers. Sat for one hour. One hour! No water refill, no food, no service, no apologies, nothing. What a waste of my day.

We went here for a date. The food was ok but took forever to come to our table. When asked what we wanted to eat the server asked what side we wanted with our food but when the check came they charged us for those sides and the refill on my husband's tea. We won't be back.

Awesome Historic building thus great Ambience! Food not very good save a few specialties. The “menu and Chef” need to be up graded to suit this lovely atmosphere. They have a recipe for dining Magic then.We were disappointed.

We stopped in looking for food that wasn’t “fast food” while traveling for the holidays. It was great! My Husbands burger was cook perfectly, and my 4yo liked her personal pizza.

My daughter and I wanted to try somewhere new and we drive past this place all the time, so we decided to stop and I'm so glad we did! My kid said the chef was an expert chef and the pizza was a masterpiece! The chicken salad was the best I've ever had (sorry grandma)! I'll be going back to try other dishes but definitely to get some more of that! I was so hungry I inhaled my food before I remembered to take a picture of it but by the time dessert arrived, I came to my senses. We had the caramel crunch cake and although the crunch element didn't quite "crunch" it was still one of the most delicious cakes I've had in awhile. Ordered chicken fried steak and gravy with bacon-jalapeño collards and mac & cheese to go. Everything was very flavorful and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Great choice! If you've ever driven past The French Market stop and give 'em try, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

My wife I visited this great restaurant based on a hotel's recommendation. Had it not been for GPS, these out-of-towners would never have found the place...but we are glad we did! The atmosphere was old-world French meets Louisiana. Our waiter, Khalfani, provided great recommendations, including one for a nice Cabernet and he served our meals efficiently and was attentive to our needs. The green fried tomatoes were excellent, and the Alfredo Florentine was perfectly prepared. These were large portions...our only regret was that we had no room for desert! We will definitely be back when we are in town!
