Stopped by during a road trip. Floors sticky, bathroom disgusting, and nearly all the tables were not cleaned. Plus it was dead, so no reason to not at least start cleaning. Food took a while, they forgot my wife's salad dressing and my chili was room temp at best. Also the cashier mumbled a lot, making it very difficult to understand her. I usually love McAllister's, the location in Gurnee, IL is top notch in service, cleanliness, and food quality as was the location in Glen Allen, VA.

Watch out for red hair in your food - I ordered a half sandwich and salad, which was fine, and a Chicken Bacon Ranch potato for my coworker, which she discovered had red hair in it. It’s fine, mistakes happen. I called the restaurant and was only met with a robot and an endlessly ringing phone. I went up to the restaurant and showed the girl up front the food and hair. I can see a girl in the back with red hair who doesn’t have a hair net, and even after being told there was her hair in my food she doesn’t put on a hair net. (No attempt to prevent this from happening in the future, hence the first sentence). No apology was made for having hair in my food and wasting my time on a work day. When I finally get the remade potato, I of course check to see if there’s hair in it since I can see that no one in the back is wearing a hair net. The girl in the front makes a rude remark telling me that there’s no hair in it because she it was remade, even though she failed to catch it the first time so how would you know? Won’t be coming back, terrible customer service and management.

This is the best place for a sandwich, salad, bake potato. I tried the hsm and cheese melt for the 1st time and it was everything. The cheddar broccoli soup is also a favorite. The staff if amazing

the food is good but when i opened my sandwich i noticed there was no toothpick which was odd but not a big deal but then when i took a bite the toothpick was inside the sandwich? like fully submerged inside the sandwich. i never write bad reviews but this almost seems intentional because i don’t know how someone would accidentally put the toothpick in the middle of the sandwich completely hidden by mistake. kinda scary and could’ve been a lawsuit if i took a bigger bite or if i took a bite from the center instead of the side
