Honestly a HUGE disappointment after being excited to go on Valentine's Day. We were excited to find a place serving what we thought would be good New Orleans style food. We made reservations for Valentine's Day dinner for myself and husband and my teenage son and his girlfriend. The restaurant it's self was very nice, clean, and not too loud even being full of people. We ordered Seafood Dip and Fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. The dip was ok we left about 2/3 of it untouched and the tomatoes were fine just not real crispy. Our main courses were 2 Cajun pastas (1 chicken 1 seafood) 1 chicken jambalaya with a side of fries and a chicken tenders. My son said the tenders were fine but small the fries are seriously the fries you get from Checkers. My husband and I both agreed the jambalaya was anything but jambalaya. It tasted just like a chicken and rice dish you would get at a Chinese takeout. I sent my pasta back. It was watery with zero flavor. My son's girlfriend was too embarrassed to send her's back but said it was very bland. We skipped ordering dessert because we were sure they would be bland as well and after spending $123 I was done spending hard earned money on flavorless and food. I should have made reservations at the Waffle House at least we would have been able to eat.

Came here for dessert but got extremely slow service. Extremely. I had to ask to cash out and even handed my card to waiter. Even then we ended up waiting awhile before being able to leave because I had to go up and ask again to sign.

I have been to Parish and the food was good. I didn't know they sold brunch on the weekends until one of the cooks told me. Why aren't you all promoting this? You are missing the whole downtown vibe, specials, mimosas ect. I don't know who is running this establishment but listen to the people who visit.
The chicken was really good! Best chicken in Macon probably

I visited Parish in Cherry St for the first time on 01/17/26 with my “sister friends”. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by the hostess who offered to take our pic 💕. We were seated in a timely manner and immediately our server Tyler came over and introduced himself and took our drink order. Tyler did not miss a beat with attending to our party!! From drinks to appetizers to our main course everything was wonderful! I definitely will recommend Parish on Cherry St to my family and friends if they’re ever in the Macon area.

If you are looking for a New Orlean style cuisine in the middle Georgia area stop into Parish on Cherry. They have an excellent staff and the ambiance is comforting and welcoming. My favorite combination gator bites and mussels. Now we can’t forget my cocktail of choice which is the “Hurricane”
If you are in the downtown area please stop in and check them out.

My first experience 1/17/26 at Parish on Cherry St. was amazing. I had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and the salmon salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Everything was seasoned well! Tyler, my waiter was attentive to the needs of our girls group. The manager, Claire stopped by our table to check on us several times. My margaritas were on point. I highly recommend this quaint restaurant with a wonderful ambiance for a girls get-away.
