We are visiting Macon and we receive a recommendation to eat at that establishment. We ordered 2 entrees, unfortunately the chicken chèvre had a long hair inside the chicken. The manager came and checked the plate and saw the hair but she didn’t care and barely apologize and left. Of course they didn’t charge for that but she didn’t offered any other option. It was evident to us that the manager had poor customer service skills in handling the entire situation! Extremely awful experience! :(

The rookery is one of my fave places to eat and we always ask for Tori Irby. She’s fantastic!

Everyone was bragging about the space and the food so we stopped by before an event with previous coordination/reservation. The food came out haphazardly and most of the time wrong. My burger was undercooked and cold in the middle and my french fries were quite cold. Some places get famous for reasons I can’t understand.

If ever in Macon this is a great spot to check out. Very diverse menu options and had the James Brown Black and Blue Burger. Very strong burger! Music was awesome as well. Definitely will be back.

A rustic and local hamburger pub. I was in the area for work and went with a relatively large group do people for lunch. The menu was fairly diverse in terms of burgers. I ordered the Burger of the Month which they called The Vampire. Basically it's two grilled cheese sandwiches as the top and bottom bun and then a 1/2 burger with queso and Sriracha sauce. Phenomenal! The pimento cheese and chips were also top notch as an appetizer for the table.

The stand out, for me, though, was the service. One member of our party has a nut allergy. They ordered the chicken salad sandwich. Bear in mind that there were no warnings anywhere on the menu that the Chicken salad contain nuts. Upon biting into the sandwich, my coworker immediately noticed and spit the food out into a napkin. Our waiter could not have been more apologetic. The manager even came over to check on us. They comped the meal and couldn't have been more gracious.

If we are ever in the area, we will be back!

Out of the way restaurant in downtown Macon. Went with friends for lunch on the way to Hilton Head from Atlanta. Great service & food with menu selections for everyone. Fairly crowded for a Sunday afternoon but no wait. Highly recommend this eatery!
