We LOVE a tiki bar and have no idea why more cities don't have them. This one is super fun! Everyone was enjoying a drink that is finished with flames. Love the constant Gilligan's Island on the bar tv. The "Missionary's Downfall" and Mai Tai were delish! Bar tenders were friendly, enthusiastic, and efficient - they look like they are having fun!!

Update: (1st review was our experience at the old, upstairs location) This was a great date night experience! I loved that the space is limited for a few people at a time and you can hear the bartenders tell the history of the tiki lounge. We love to bring friends from out of state here. It’s a cool vibe.(2nd review new downstairs location) The new location has a lot of space. For me, it didn’t give the same vibe and ambience that I really enjoyed from the first location. When you walk in, you check in with the hostess, walk into the other side of the restaurant where there are chairs and tables for you and your partner or party to wait. When the light turns off, that means you can go down the stairs. There are a few round tables and extended bar seating. I am sure this is due to it becoming more popular and bigger parties but something places, in my opinion, should keep the same settings. That’s what makes it unique! But we did have a wonderful time and the libations were amazing!!!!

The Monkey's Paw is a hidden gem in Macon. The hidden, prohibition era speakeasy vibe adds to the mystery and excitement. They serve many unique and delicious mixed drinks. Most of the drinks are made with rum. I have loved every drink that I have tried. Several of the drinks cannot be found any where else. When you want to give yourself a treat, make a reservation and have a drink (or two!) at the Monkey's Paw. Highly recommend.

Very very fun and unique place. You have to make reservations and you only have a spot for an hour, so make sure you plan accordingly. The drinks are amazing, strong, and very exotic!

Very unique Rum bar in Middle Ga filling a very niche experience if you know rum! This isn’t a regular bar with well drinks. Make sure to set reservations that recycle every hour with new guests. Perfect for pre gaming if you are having dinner or other plans in downtown Macon later. The hour turn around in small room allows the mixologist more intimate one-on-one time to chat their knowledge about Rum. I know my rums and these guys are the “real deal”Garrett is always a gentleman to deal with and makes consistent incredible cocktails… and Boss man’s refined palette of rum proved himself to this “Cubano” 100% from the get go! #Salud

My group had a reservation here prior to dinner for last Saturday night, for a co worker’s retirement celebration. A coworker handled the reservation over a month ago with confirmation. We had a group of 12, that met in Macon for this event from all over the state. Before arriving that night, at our reservation time, we called to let them know we would be a couple of minutes late. We were told we didn’t have a reservation…. BEWARE booking this place.

What a cosy bar. Your time is limited to an hour but that was fine. Amazing comradely spurred on by the mixologists (not bar tenders). Bring a joke or two and you’ll be a hit. Go.Parking: It’s down an alley but there is valet starting at 5:00.
