A great restaurant with wonderful service. We have groups of up to 25 and they do a marvelous job of getting the food out on time, correct and with a great smile. Very friendly staff. Our group meets twice a year coming from all over Georgia. Everyone agrees, this is the best meeting place.

Today I invited my family to celebrate my birthday. Let's start from the beginning. We called to reserve for a party . Noone told us about the deposit and how long we could reserve for. After arriving staff came in an told us that we had to be out by 6pm because another party was coming. Cool. We then had to wait about 30 minutes before the server came to place an order. Food came out it was horrible. The steaks were burned and sides cold. The manager was rude with a bad attitude. She tried to tell us how the food should taste because it looked good.

All together it was bad!

This was the worst experience I had. the waitress was great, but the managers were rude, disrespectful, and gave the my first time coming my last! The Rib eye was burnt, the grilled pork chops were dry. My family will NOT be going back.

We have been going to Chops 6 to 8 times a year over the past 4 years. The food the service and the atmosphere are all good, but the addional 25% automatically added to our bill tonight, because we were a large group 13 people for a family birthday dinner, means we will not be going back. I get the large group at 18%, BUT 25% on a $100 bill made our check $125 it was 25% because we had split checks for the three families present. Everything is too darn expensive to add an additional 25% service fee. Very disappointed and feeling like they should maybe mention a 25% service fee or any automatic fee placed on bills before they just charge it. Again, we’ve always loved Chops, but we will not be back?

The Chop House Grill staff provided exceptional services today(8/30/2024) hosting our group of 13 persons from the Hancock Central High School-Sparta GA Class of 72 Reunion Committee Members. Food was delicious as well. Lexia, our assigned support person was cordial, demonstrated a warm/friendly personality, very respectful of the group’s requests and ensured 100% accuracy of orders. A recent experience at the Chop House highlighted some concerning behavior from the owner. After reading through several reviews, it becomes evident that the owner frequently responds to negative feedback with excuses and a sense of entitlement rather than taking responsibility for any mistakes. There is a noticeable absence of apologies or genuine efforts to make things right—instead, the responses often reflect a dismissive attitude and a lack of remorse.

It’s disappointing to see an owner who seems disconnected from the basics of good customer service. Rather than acknowledging errors and supporting patrons, the owner appears to believe that doing one nice thing occasionally can offset poor treatment. This mindset shows a fundamental misunderstanding of customer care. A professional approach would involve admitting mistakes, offering apologies, and striving to improve. Unfortunately, this is not the case here. The behavior observed is disheartening, especially coming from someone who should be setting a positive example for their establishment. It’s difficult to recommend this restaurant, and others may want to reconsider giving their business to a place where customers do not seem to be valued.
