This place is truly a must eat at in Madison. My wife and I started with cocktails (Dirty Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and an Old Fashioned). Both delicious! Had the Black Mussels for an appetizer. They were good but it was too much of a milk broth and no flavor of white wine or shallots. Also needed to be served with some hard bread to dip in the broth. Entrees my wife had the Salmon and I had the Ribeye. Both were incredibly delicious. Overall great service and meal, just wish the mussels were a little more flavorful.

The server was attentive and the food was excellent. I had the salmon which came on a bed of rice and a side of asparagus. We were with a large party and graciously accommodated. Also, the women’s restroom was brightly lit, very clean, and beautiful-simply styled, but elegant. That’s a lovely gesture noticed by all the ladies of our group and much appreciated. I would have had dessert, but I needed to leave to pick up my daughter from jui jitsu. It’s a must-return-for-more establishment.

Once again five star service and food. Celebrated my wife's birthday last night. Emily did a great job taking care of all our needs! Food was amazing as usual. This is my go to place for special occasions.

The atmosphere is great, wide open dining room with a full bar. There were 14 of us in the party and I'll say our waitress did a great job by handling us and a couple other tables. Only a few times did we have to wait a min longer to get our drinks. Now onto the food. For a nice place like this I expected more out of the flavor department in the food. It wasn't the best but wasn't terrible either. If paying 30+ a plate you should expect to be blown away with flavor. Other than that it was a great experience.

It used to be so good. I went here this weekend. I've been here before, several times and loved it. But since then, something has changed in the quality of food we received. No longer do they have lamb chops--that were incredible-- instead they have replaced it with a much lower quality and worse tasting lamb loin. Maybe it's just my taste, but it was very bland, and very expensive for something so mediocre. I also had chicken Parmesan which you'd think would be difficult to mess up. But it was so dry, I think it had been left under a heating lamp in the kitchen for a while. Once I asked for more sauce, it helped a little bit, but the dish was still hardly a step above what you'd get at Olive Garden. Which honestly was how most of the dishes felt to me. Like a chain restaurant but for the price of something that is supposed to be much higher quality. Our appetizers were much the same. The only one we received that we enjoyed were the oysters. The service was somewhat descent but left a little to be desired. Our waiter seemed very confused about a lot of things, which to me speaks greatly about the type of management running this place. Overall, I'm very disappointed in the changes to this restaurant. Me and my party had been several times before and loved it. But for the price of four people dining, it simply is not worth it anymore. I will not be coming back unfortunately.

I still give Town 220 five stars. Food and service were wonderful as always. The space is beautiful. The only disappointment was being seated at the table directly in front of the kitchen door and the elevator even with reservations. Super high traffic area. We were celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary and brought guests who hadn't been to Town 220 before. They still enjoyed the meal and our server was attentive and kept the coffee and drinks coming and made nice suggestions on the menu items. We will be back.

Cool spot in downtown Madison. Great service. Not blown away by the food but it was very good & we'd come back in a heartbeat. Split a wedge and had shrimp 'n grits & ahi tuna. 5⭐ overall.

Unless you like to be cold when you eat DO NOT go here. The manager was even informed that the outside door we were seated next to had cold air blowing in I literally had to sit with my jacket on and still shivering. The manager reaction was to look over the banister, and see if downstairs door was open, and suggested that we move over one table, but still directly in front of the door, but only to still have cold air blowing. For the amount of money we spent to be cold, and have cold air blowing on you is ridiculous. Put up a curtain, add something to stop the air blowing in on anyone sitting on the other side of the fire place. The serve acted as if we were as special as the "Notte table", and totally treated us differently. We asked about an appetizer that the "Notte" table had been served only to be told that it was made special for them two. Oh...can we order it..."no not available that was only for that table, and we don't have any more of those ingredients". Obviously the feeling of how our server treated us wasn't incorrect to say the least had to ask for him to refill our drinks, and then acted as if we were bothering him, and to pour our drink by placing the pitcher onto the glass...gross! Manager never came back to check to make sure we were warm after moving which she clearly felt my hand. You would have thought she would have made sure we were happy...
