The gumbo was as close to authentic gumbo I have ever eaten. It was delicious. The grouper and hush puppies were good as well.
It’s been a minute since I had eaten here—definitely pre-Covid. Smaller than it once was, and no longer serving beer. But we had a friend visiting from California who wanted gumbo, so we paid a visit. AJ’s was better than I remembered, and everything was quite good. Gumbo, fish dip, and hush puppies were top-notch, and the guys thoroughly enjoyed their oysters and shrimp. Will definitely be back, and won’t wait so long between visits next time.
Went there yesterday for lunch, OMG SO GOOD!!!!!!!!! Food, service, everything was awesome. Key Lime Pie with the Lime Margarita Mousse was excellent. It was so good before we left there were 3 elderly woman that came in so proper sitting down eating and just having a good time with each other, we anonymously bought them dessert since my wife and I miss our grandmothers. People great food and atmosphere, worth every pennt.
So disappointed. This used to be one of my favorites. They have redone the menus and are now nickel and diming you. No more sandwich and side. If you want fries that will be extra. And they raised all the prices too. And don't plan on using your credit card without paying a use fee. They couldn't even reprint the menus. They xeroxed them and just used a sharpie to write their new prices. The food is still good but you are going to pay dearly for it. Good management would have marked up the prices a few bucks and called it a day but they are making it known they are going to squeeze every cent from you. We won't be back.
Oysters were amazing. Everything was great except for the coleslaw
Muffuletta was delicious! Great Service & Friendly Staff.
Love the oysters here, some of the best you'll find inland. I've had the scallops too and they are delish, but a giant portion. No alcohol anymore but the good seafood makes up for it.
It was so nice trying a new seafood spot. We know AJ's is not new but since this was our first time, it was new to us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection! My hubby and I shared a large chicken and sausage gumbo. He then ordered the fried seafood platter and I ordered the catfish po'boy. The food was outstanding! The only thing I would have done differently with the po'boy is grilled the bun to give it a little crunch. Good seafood experience. We will b happy to return.
A Marietta staple for years. Consistently great food and fast, friendly service
The restaurant is not a 5 star fancy restaurant, but the food is 5 star. Flounder and shrimp platter was very good. The people working there were awesome and attentive.

Visited here on a Saturday afternoon a little after lunch time. The restaurant wasn't crowded. Its a bit small on the inside but comfortable. There's plenty of parking as it is in a shopping plaza with Kroger next door. We basically sat ourselves and drink order was taken immediately. We ordered the cajun eggrolls as an appetizer. They were stuffed with shrimp, crawfish, and crab meat and served with a sweet and spicy sauce. Delicious. We ordered the Shrimp po boy as our entree and split it. They were generous with the shrimp. I would have liked there to be more seasoning in the batter of the shrimp but it was good none the less. I will definitely be back to try the oysters and other items on the menu.
We found this place on Trip Advisor. Tried the oysters and the shrimp, both were wonderful! Definitely visiting this place again!
The oysters here are really good, our favorite was the Rockefeller. I ordered the shrimp platter with coleslaw and red beans and rice. The shrimp was really good and I loved AJs special sauce. I’ll have to admit the coleslaw and red beans were just ok (they both lacked flavor) which is why I took off a star. Other than that everything was amazing. The service was quick and good in addition to the food. We will return for sure.
Po boys are really good, enjoyed the Cajun egg rolls. Half a sandwich is plenty unless you are really hungry or sharing. My kids really like this place too.
Love this place! The po boys are what I usually get as carry out since it’s down the street from me. Got to dine in for the first time, the gator stuff was really good, didn’t even know they had that! The service was really great also, super sweet and attentive. Food came out quick. Will definitely go back in next time!
