Very good food. Table side chef was great. Waitress was polite, but not especially attentive (likely spread too thin).

I and my friend were in the area when we stumbled upon Atami Grill & Suchi. I had the steak and chicken fried rice with sushi. Let me start by saying the sushi was divine. Every bite was delicious and mouthwatering, and I definitely will be returning for that sushi. Now for the steak and chicken fried rice…. It was surprisingly too salty for no reason. Absolutely no reason. For me, that likes salt on my food, that was too much.
I will try them again whenever I go by that area again.
Service was good. My server kept on checking on us. He was awesome for that.
Price was good.
I recommend

Great food. Average dinner show at hibachi with the classic volcano and rice throw and eat, but not a lot of fancy knife moves.

The food wasn’t bad. My wife and I got the sushi and it was nothing special. I wouldn’t recommend. Overpriced for what you get. I’d do sushi zen or kuroshio instead

We have frequented this restaurant consistently (1-2x monthly) since 2015. My wife, son and I went in tonight and ordered approximately $85 in food.

Our 12yo ordered chicken ramen. In the midst of eating his ramen, we discovered there was a piece of steel wool in his meal. Already half way done with his food, I denied returning it for a new bowl, and he ate the remainder of his dinner off our plates.

Brett the manager apologized at the table, and when we received the bill, there was a whopping 10-12% reduction off the cost of just the ramen bowl (1.55). I fully recognize accidents happen, and I really had no expectations of being compensated - but as a former chef, I found this micro gesture wholly insulting and inappropriate considering the severity of the situation. Let me be clear - ingested steel wool can cause significant medical issues, up to and including scratching or cutting the esophageal or intestinal walls.

On leaving, I said everything above to Brent, and to his credit he followed us out to the parking lot to give us a $50 gift card. I declined the gift card on principle - if I have to explain the severity of that type of situation to a manager, and the initial response is not appropriate to the severity of the situation, then we probably shouldn’t eat there for a while if ever again.

Not trying to get anyone in trouble, but it’s important to note how serious the situation was, and hopefully this note reinforces some training and practices as to not have it happen to anyone else.

Atami Grill & Sushi is truly a hidden gem in Marietta! We enjoyed both sushi and hibachi, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The sushi rolls were top-notch, with a great variety of options to choose from, and the hibachi was cooked to perfection with generous portions. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you're looking for a great spot for sushi and hibachi, Atami is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommend!

Treated a client to a sushi lunch after closing. Service was excellent and sushi was on point. My client's favorite roll was the Sea Dragon roll and I really enjoyed the Fashion Roll. Prices were about average for sushi. There are many other non-sushi options and the menu is split by cooked and uncooked sushi for those who don't want to eat raw sushi. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Parking: Tons of parking options as it is right next to a Kroger.

This is my husband and my favorite spot to go out for a quick bite. Excellent service and the food is always fresh and delicious!

Parking: Lots of parking available.

Kid-friendliness: Had my daughter birthday lunch here and got to use the side room so it was more private. Really nice.

Don’t order steak takeout - you’ll end up with a $30 box of shoe leather

My wife and I arrived at 4pm Friday and the hostess seated is immediately in a booth. Hibachi seating is also available.
The server was attentive and observant and took out drink and appetizer order immediately.
We tried steamed gyoza and Fried calamari. Both were delicious. The calamari was extra crispy compared to other places that offer it.
My wife is picky about steak wellness and was hesitant to order the Bento with steak, but I convinced her to give Atami chefs the benefit of the doubt, so that's what she ordered. She want disappointed! The bento comes with salad, beef broth soup, choice of rice, 2 fried gyoza, 8 pieces of California roll, 2 tempura shrimp and 2 layers of steak. It was too big for one meal.
I ordered the Shrimp tempura. Also comes with the same soup, salad, choice of rice and of tempura: 5 - 3 inch shrimp, 2 brocolli, 1 mushroom, 1 sweet potato. All very crispy and delicious (consider that I am writing this the day after I went). Spent~$65 for all that.
I think we found a favorite Japanese restaurant, and we have been to many off of Cobb Parkway
