TL;DR they made us the wrong cake, but it tasted good.
So we used Confection Perfection for our wedding cake. We were between 2 designs (let's say 1 and 2) and 2 sizes (tall/thin vs more classic shorter/wider - let's say A and B). Ultimately we went with 1A - and this wasn't some back and forth, changing minds. I very clearly emailed them what our final choice was. When I showed up to the venue, cake 2B was there. I let my wedding planner know, and she said the person who delivered the cake never even checked in with her - just dropped it off and left.
I emailed them after the wedding to let them know. They asked was it not the cake in the contract? I had signed a billion contracts at this time, didn't specifically remember the one for this vendor, and said I'm not sure about that but here are screenshots from the emails telling you what we wanted.
They forwarded the email with the contract - what I realized was they had emailed it to my mom. My mom ended up forwarding it to me, but this was just over a week before the wedding, and when I opened it all I saw was the link for the cake payment. I was scrambling to make sure everyone was paid so I did that - I never even saw that there was a contract attached.
So partly my bad for not seeing the contract that had a picture of the (wrong) cake, but when I emailed them back to let them know that I never saw this contract, which they should know as I never sent them a signed contract (which they never followed up on) they just left me hanging and I haven't heard from them since.
Additionally, the cake we did get, even though it was one of our "designs", really doesn't even look like that cake (pictures attached). I also asked them to have a small chunk out of the cake next to the figurine of my dog with some icing on his nose to look like he was eating it (I'm lame I know) - they didn't do that so my planner had to do it right before the wedding.
So overall a pretty disappointing experience, as we were trying to support local business and had a positive experience with them leading up to it.

Best bakery around! I have used then twice now within a ten year span. They are my go to bakery! Its worth the budget! Cake taste delicious! Designs are approximate! Excellent communication! Early delivery! I couldn't be more pleased!

Madison with Confection Perfection was super wonderful to work with! The design process was very interactive and Madison completely understood my vision. The cake was so beautiful that I literally had to stop and admire it the second I entered the venue on my wedding day. It was also very delicious. I appreciate that Confection Perfection also prepared me a small anniversary cake to freeze. It saved a lot of hassle on the day of the wedding (and is saving a lot of space in my freezer). I will definitely be buying cakes for other occasions from Confection Perfection!

Our wedding cake was beautiful. It tasted delicious and there is nothing bad to say about the look or the taste of our wedding cake. The downfall here is the fact that they charged $75 for the faux top layer of a cake. Seems outrageous to me when it’s the top layer and its styrofoam. Next our anniversary cake was sent home the night of our wedding which I know is traditional, but when speaking with the contact at confection perfection she explicitly told me we could come in on our one year anniversary and we would get a free cake that was fresh. This was one of the main points I was so excited about because I was not looking forward to eating a cake a year old and potentially freezer burned. Next let’s look at the cake sent home. I’m sorry but this is terrible work. I get it’s an anniversary cake but this is maybe two bites each and it looks awful. The Icing job is terrible and after such a beautiful wedding cake I would expect a better Icing job than this.

We were absolutely delighted with Confection Perfection's contribution to our Alice in Wonderland-themed vintage tea party! We asked them to create an "unbirthday" cake, and they exceeded our expectations by designing an elegant cake that perfectly complemented the sophisticated, vintage aesthetic of our event. And the cake itself was to die for—the icing and cake were both incredibly delicious, a perfect combination!
Additionally, they provided beautifully crafted cupcakes that not only looked stunning but also served as an interactive activity. They designed hard frosting roses for each cupcake, which guests could paint red—a nod to the story's iconic "painting the roses red" scene. To achieve this, they provided dye that is typically mixed with vodka (though for our teen guests, they mixed it without), giving everyone small cups of the mix to use. This creative idea was a huge hit with both teens and adults alike, adding an extra layer of fun to our event.

My husband and I got our wedding cake from Confection Perfection, and oh my goodness was it to die for!! We went with the White Chocolate flavor, and it was absolutely delicious!! We enjoyed sampling all the flavors. When we were torn between three, we ordered three sample slices of the three flavors we were trying to choose between and ultimately went with the White Chocolate with a Buttercream filling. Our consultant was incredible! We brought in pictures from previous cakes they had done, including a marble effect and gold stencil design, and they were able to make it come to life perfectly! It was absolutely gorgeous and tasted wonderful! We couldn't get enough! We ate all that we had left in the week after our wedding. We had even gone back for more sample slices of our flavor choice leading up to the wedding because we just had to have more! We'll definitely be ordering more cakes again from them in the future for special occasions and for our anniversaries! We've even talked about getting the sample tray again just for the fun of it to enjoy all the flavors all over again! I HIGHLY recommend Confection Perfection! Their designs, flavors, and Buttercream are all incredible!!
