I would like to say the food was delicious, but Derek's Cafe made that impossible, although the Uber Eats driver was the initial reason for the snafu. When the driver arrived without my juice, I assumed the restaurant just hadn't sent it and I requested a refund from UE. Then I looked at my food and what was on the plate was definitely not something I would have ordered since it was filled with peppers of some sort and shredded hashbrowns, something else I don't eat. I called the restaurant and was told that someone with a name similar to mine had placed an order and that the driver must have mixed the orders up. She took my number and was supposed to call me back to let me know what could be done. Approximately two hours later and I still haven't heard from her.After not hearing from anyone, I REORDERED the food since by this time I was ravenous, and the restaurant canceled the order. So, I never did get my food and I won't be ordering from them again since I'm thoroughly unsatisfied with this experience.

Great little diner for breakfast! Everyone at my table said it was delicious! I had the smothered biscuit with gravy and sausage. I couldn't have made it better myself! Someone else had the French toast and really enjoyed that as well. We will go back for sure!
It was a complete surprise. My daughter and I were greeted immediately and told we could sit anywhere. We chose right next to the register. Within minutes of placing out orders, our food came out piping hot. Hashbrowns, bacon, sausage links, ham, and fluffy scrambled eggs. It was cooked at home good. Like Arnie said in "The Terminator" I'll be back.

Derek's has a really good breakfast! However, the lunch buffet is terrible. The baked chicken has some weird spice on it. The pork looked like it had been there quite a while. The cabbage had absolutely no taste. The mashed potatoes were definitely instant and had been there long enough to be dried out and crusty. The black eyed peas were alright. Stick with the breakfast. I'm sure they can do better.
