My first visit here was with my dad, and he really enjoyed the food. I ordered an omelet with a side of corned beef hash, but when it arrived, the corned beef hash was inside the omelet. While they were remaking it, I noticed a roach on the table, and shortly after, another on the wall. When the server returned, I informed her of the issue, showing her the roach on the wall, and even recorded it. She apologized, which I appreciated, but I requested to speak with the manager. Love this. My daughter and I go there often. Food is very good and prices are reasonable. Friendly people work there. Have a great pork stew and over rice is great
First timers. Great service and atmosphere. The food was fabulous! Hubby and I had the French Toast and it was delicious. Will definitely return.

Derek's Cafe is an old school type of diner with a simple old fashion family diner feel and local diner vibes. The food is amazing with huge servings, phenomenal food, and comfort food that never disappoints. The breakfast is considered the best breakfast in the area, with options like Derek’s breakfast special, which includes eggs, hashbrowns, or grits, toast, and a choice of meat. The menu offered great options, including a buffet lunch with southern choices. The staff is friendly, quick, kind, and hard working, with excellent service. The food is wonderful, arrives quickly, and is 10x better than First Watch or J.Christophers. Just don’t expect a beautiful ambiance.
