Best food in town i work 5 minutes from restaurant i love the Oxtel good flavor good service come here to try it you won't be disappointed

We stopped in after a game, great Oxtail, Curry Goat and Stew Chicken. Some may seek more heat in the curry and they were able to give us some Habenero to bring us across the finish line. The Jerk pork will not disappoint, tendor perfectly seasoned and made with respect. Wonderful spot.

I only tried the beef patties so far but let me just say these are the best beef patties I've ever had in my life!! I bought two and finished them both before I even left the parking lot. And Adrian the young lady who helped me has great energy and fits the environment of this restaurant. Ill review later when I actually get a full course but if you're a beef patty God like me (pause). This is the place to go!!!

I go there frequently and to be honest.....they got my vote. Thee gentlemen who cooks the food use to cook for a restaurant across the street but Cobb county shit down n destroyed the places across the street. I eat out too much which is bad but Golden Tropics taste authentic.... I've gone to a few places over the years. And I primarily like cabbage so that's what it get. However, I get oxtail or curry here n there and ......I like Golden Tropics the best. Btw. I'm super random ...wish they were open longer though but I personally feel like the restaurants that are not going for the atmosphere or the area have the better food. Mexican.... Jamaican..... Mediterranean...... No disrespect I just feel like certain restaurants that are closer to places like the stadium or just more known just don't taste authentic. The tall blk skin woman ...with 2 braids ....who likes to eat. Imma tell you how I feel lol

I recently dined at Golden Tropics Jamaican Restaurant, and it was an amazing experience! The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned and had a fantastic smoky flavor. The oxtail stew was rich and hearty, and the rice and peas were a perfect accompaniment. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Jamaican cuisine!

I do not recommended. Oxtail was not good and was sweet. Oxtail is a Savory dish. Do not come here. The chef was also not reasonable or accommodating after I told him the food was sweet. He doubled down and said that was the intention.

This place is upstairs when going up looking down you see filty trash from the stairs,it's is a turn off.!! The trash needs to be cleaned up. After all its apart of the environment where this restaurant is located.

So I came in 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday night. I was racing to get there since I got off work at 7PM, and if you know Jamaican restaurants, you know that they run out of food on the weekends.
I was greeted by the nice woman behind the counter. I immediately asked if there were any menu items that were sold out. She said she had everything available. I was super happy with that, and got a medium oxtail stew with two sides of rice and peas and a small jerk chicken with cabbage and rice and peas. She asked if I wanted sauce and of course I did and was so happy she asked. She poured the sauce all over the meats and the rice and peas.
The oxtails were so tender. I just had to pull the meat off the bone with a fork. Of course you have to chew at that bone to make sure you’re getting all of the meat.
The jerk chicken looked perfectly charred, and when I tasted it, it was perfect. It was moist and juicy. The jerk sauce over the meat was great!
I will definitely be going back often. Got more to try like the calaloo, patties, xurry goat, and salt fish & ackee!!
Don’t come at me. It was food for two days!

Food good af and they give out good portion. 2 stars is for the lady in the front with the nasty attitude. I almost walked out but was to hungry. People wanna feel welcomed when they walk into an establishment. Not the opposite

We decided to grab dinner here on the fly. I’m not really a huge fan of Jamaican good but my man wanted oxtails. He was totally satisfied with his plate. My son had the bbq jerk chicken and tried the jerk shrimp. The greens and cabbage both delicious… the jerk shrimp a lil too spicy for my taste. All in all we would definitely eat here again.

I was greeted by the sounds of beautiful music once I entered. Then I was stunned by the beautiful hostess that greeted me. The food is A1 and you can’t beat this price. ?

The best jamaican food around! The portions are plentiful the oxtails curried goat are the best I've ever had! Service is friendly helpful and attentive. I highly recommend this as your new favorite jamaican spot.
