Better than the average Atlanta-style Mexican restaurant. Little creative twists on traditional entrees and dishes makes it a bit more special. We went there on a Thursday night and they had a three-piece Mariachi band which really entertained our toddler granddaughters. I'd go back if I was in the neighborhood.

I love this place. The food is 10/10 EVERY time. They don’t miss I swear. All of the staff is upbeat and personable. But Sonny? This guy is one of the best servers I’ve had at any restaurant. They have a bunch of specials and deals throughout the week too. Great spot for anyone just looking to grab some Mexican food (authentic or Tex mex, they have it all)

Awesome atmosphere and great food. Love the decor! It is so awesome to see a Mexican restaurant decorated with artwork that compliments the culture! If we didn't live in Minnesota we would be regulars!!

My Mother and I ate here for a get-away-Mom-Daughter-date-night and it was wonderful. We both were thrilled with our food and drinks, I got "Daniel's Burrito" and my Mother got a burrito filled with shrimp and it was all divine. The street corn dip, and guac, was particularly superb. When you go out to eat, especially with Mexican food, one of the first things on my "hope for" list is authenticity, and that is exactly what our experience was. *A U T H E N T I C* But, I'm not referring to the food right now (although it was). I am referring to our service from TJ "Presteej". He was kind and energetic and helpful and fun and silly and AUTHENTIC. He was an absolute joy and delight and the ultimate "hype man" -- making our dinner-date just super engaging and fun and memorable. One that we will never forget, and TJ is who we always hope to accompany us whenever we dine in at Abuelos. Before the the night was over, I ran into some close friends and told them about TJ and although they had a great meal, after chatting with TJ, they were so sad that he was not their waiter. He leaves a lasting impression of joy and laughter, and leaves you looking forward to your next experience at Los Abuelos. If you really think about it, everything boils down to the service. At least for us. Because you can have a delicious meal, and terrible service and not want to return to an establishment; but even if you're disappointed with the food, but you have fun and refreshing service, you'll be left wanting to give it another shot! Most runny nachos I've ever had, floating. Out of specialty tequila times two, 25 minutes to get water, lots of staff walking around, not really doing anything... and there were only four tables with people at them. Done with this spice.

I come here every Thursday with a good friend. This place NEVER fails! I am seated within seconds. I get my drink within seconds and I get my food almost immediately after I order. This place is more than amazing and a perfect friend or family spot.

The food in was quite good. I had the brisket enchiladas. Extra charge for rice and beans instead of French fries! Who ever hears of fries with enchiladas but I resented the up charge since it came with all the other enchiladas. However worst taco chips and salsa in town! I've never had worse bought in any store. Embarrassing! The place has paper thin cheap napkins and you'll need at least a dozen each. Overall too noisy and too bright. I ordered a margarita that was advertised and didn't realize they upgraded me to a giant size for 3 times the price. What soured me was that we ordered something to go and the serving size was less than half of all our entrees. When I asked to speak to the manager he just said "that's our to go size". Better than Papasitos though which has unbussed dishes on many tables and ALSO has bad chips and poor salsa.

Food was ok. Average and the ceviche was served in a chipped plate. I usually want to have a good experience. It is not only about food but having a good service in a clean place. No wonder why the place was almost empty.

First time here celebrating my 10 year anniversary with husbae and it was AMAZING!!!! My server Cathy was knowledgeable and suggested items and shots to make our celebration memorable. Miguel the manager even stopped by to say hello and check on us. Food was fresh, hot, flavorful and drinks were on point PERIODT! Glad I gave this place a chance…..5 stars easily!
