Friendly owner, he needs to stick with coffee and smoothies, had the beef sandwich won't be back for the beef. Sorry but that is not a Chicago Italian Beef sandwich
We walk to Jacobs Java a couple of times a week. Marq has created a welcoming space and serves great coffee. Always a positive experience!

Jacobs Java Chicago Food & Drive Thru is a black owned, classic mom n pop shop that serves the BEST HOTDOG IN THE CITY. The owner runs a one man operation and is super nice and accommodating. Prices are not outlandish and the food is great. Made to order Polish All Beef Chicago Style hot dogs come on a warm bun and smell great. The owner also makes Italian beef and a Chicago dog that feel like a real Chicago Vienna Beef joints. Coffee is good, iced latte quality is good, and there is a small patio for relaxing. The shop is well ran, fast and efficient, and the owner cares about the quality of what he prepares. Many visitors say it is the best Chicago dog outside of Chicago. The place is loved for its food, price, and friendly atmosphere.
