SS EXPRESS ALL AFRICAN & HALAL FOOD

I ordered Egusi soup with American fufu, but unfortunately, I never received the fufu. I also paid an extra five dollars for Ponmo, only to be given a very tiny portion—almost like it was just tossed in as an afterthought. The soup itself was disappointing: it lacked flavor, was cold by the time it got to me (and I live just four minutes away), and did not meet expectations.

What’s more frustrating is that this seems to be a pattern. Every time I order at night and the owner isn’t present, the food quality drops significantly or something is missing. This inconsistency makes it hard to trust the experience, which is a shame because I really wanted to support this spot.

Incredibly slow service. Waste of time.

I will NEVER come here again. I’m honestly really disappointed that I can’t get a refund on this horrible food. My food didn’t even fill the entire container, it was like 45% filled. The goat meat I ordered was sooooooo tough. I couldn’t even eat half of it, and it was full of bones and tough meat. The flavor wasn’t there either and looked absolutely nothing like the photos they show online. I literally had to ask them for the red sauce that’s pictured on their website. Please stay far away from this place if you care about not wasting money.

I ordered the chicken salad from SS Express All African & Halal Food, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and grilled & juicy, flavorful, and tender. The salad itself was super fresh, with crisp lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and a light, tasty dressing that pulled everything together. It was a great portion size, satisfying but not too heavy. You can tell they care about quality and flavor. Definitely one of the best halal salads I've had in the area—I'll be back for more.

I order the ayamasi and the meat especially the beef was so tuff. I couldn’t even bit into to. The portion was very little they give you whole lot rice with just 3 scoops of meat. I love African food but this was not good. Little Lagos off Burford has the best African. But this place need to marinate their meat before cooking or slow done the temperature cause the meat was extremely tuff. Will not order from here again!!!

The okra was watery and was not properly cooked , not worth the amount I paid . Every time I take a chance to buy okra stew from this restaurant, it is always disgustingly made .This time the okra was not even chopped as it was supposed to be and the taste was so nasty . I will never purchase food from this restaurant again , I will make sure my friends do not buy from them again .

I ordered efo riro and amala. They ran out of shaki but the owner was kind enough to contact me and changed the meat to ponmo with no extra charge. The food was delicious and they serve authentic Nigerian food. 10/10, would recommend to anyone wanting real Nigerian food

AMAZING! I ordered food from the Marietta location, and it was so bad that I called back to ask for a refund. I had thrown the food into the trash, actually. When I tell you - the owner drove from Atlanta to deliver fresh food, I was so shocked. She cares so much about quality and customer service, she even inspected the food I had been originally given. I am so touched. I have never had such outstanding customer service. The food itself is delicious as well. It tastes like a mother made it with love, which means a lot.
