I've had this place a few times before, and it was pretty okay. This time, however, we had some issues. I came in about 12:15 for a lunch date and when we went to order, most of the sides were crossed off the menu. The person who took our order let us know that they were making mac and cheese so the only sides they had were chips and coleslaw. I asked about potato salad, and they said they were out. It seemed a bit odd that they didn't have sides ready for lunch. We ordered 2 chili dogs and 2 kraut dogs for dine in. When we got the food we were less than pleased. The buns were very soggy and the hotdogs looked like they'd been sitting in water for hours. The chili on the chili dogs tasted nothing like chili. It was just bad quality ground beef that was dry and burnt. We were very disappointed that it was so much worse than before. (Pictures including, the one showing the soggy buns is out of focus, unfortunately)

Ordered the beef and sausage combo with sweet peppers and dipped. This was really good and this coming from person born and raised in Chicago.

My first time visiting and I’ll definitely be going back! I love family businesses that clearly care and put in quality! Why you should support:1. Amazing customer service with helping me pick what I wanted and very sweet and social!2. Great value and quality. Got two unique dogs and a side for around $11 which was perfectly filling. And it was good!!! My favorite is the slaw dog with onions and mustard.3. Amazing indoor setup for dining in :))

This is my first time being here and it was such an amazing experience! I’m pregnant so all I wanted was pickles and peppers on my hot dogs lol and it was very good. Also, try the strawberry lemonade and Mac & Cheese.. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you!

Growing up in Chicago i placed high expectations on my first meal at Taste of Chicago. To my surprise the Italian roast beef topped with a Italian polish blew my mind. From the first bite it was riddled with immense flavor. Aside from the Chicago dog making me feel like I was back home, the environment and scenery of the restaurant was flawless. And the head chef was as friendly s I have ever encountered in my lifetime. I will definitely recommend to friends and I will be back. 10/10

From Chicago and we highly recommend this place.. sad that they didn’t have a fryer for French fries, onion rings or pizza puffs…

Growing up in Chicago I was extremely pleased with the taste of my meal. I ordered the Italian Roast beef sandwich and my Chicago dog was bursting with flavor. Outside of the great food it’s a wonderful environment and the chef is as friendly as I have ever seen. 10/10 recommends. Will be visiting again!!!!!!!!

We moved here from Chicago 2 years ago, and have been missing Vienna beef. So as soon as we found out there was a local place that had it, we knew we had to get over to taste test! Bingo! Tastes like home! Got it all right, down to the celery salt.Joshua and his mother were friendly and welcoming fron the start. You can definitely tell his passion for the food. My husband got fritos with his hot dog and he got handed a walking taco!! ? He said he was going to give me some of the taco meat in it, to show me how good it was, but ate it all instead. ??‍♀️Next time we're trying the Italian beef and the fries. They even gave us a free sample of thier new "Chicago Style" pizza. Drew and I were debating whether or not that would end up being deep dish or tavern style, and in the end it was deep dish. The crust and the sausage were delicious!

It is with great regret that I write this. This restaurant opened up close to the office and I was excited to try it being born and raised in Chicago. They advertised Vienna beef hotdogs and they tasted more like Oscar Mayer. The buns were stale. I also ordered a maxwell street polish and they put an Italian sausage. Smh I feel insulted that they charge the prices they do and don’t make the food right. Very very disappointed and will not return. Will also not recommend to anyone I know.

Being from the Midwest, I'm always searching for a good chili dog. Unfortunately, this place doesn't have it. Bottom of the bun was crunchy, the top of the bun was soft and wet. The hotdog girth was surprisingly small for the big bun. The "chili" was lukewarm (I ate it in the parking lot right after I got it), but spicy and was nothing more than chunks of greasy ground beef. My hand was left stained orange from the grease. At least the onions were good.Unfortunately, I will not return.

Was excited to try this place right down the road from work. Can't remember the last time I was this disappointed by a restaurant. Grew up on the Wisconsin Illinois border and used to go to a Chicago dog place frequently. For a "chicago dog", Taste of Chicago was lacking. The bun was stale and hard, missing celery salt, incorrect relish (should be bright green), and was not a Vienna Beef or Red Hot Chicago dog, more like an Oscar Meyer weiner, that was over cooked and discolored. Should be "Chicago style" dog. Ordered a Maxwell Street Polish and was let down by that as well. No sautéed onions on it, just regular raw onions, also well overcooked. Minor thing but no napkins in the bag with my order.I don't lightly give a restaurant a 1 star review, but this is no Portillos. The overall quality was just not there to satisfy anything but a 1 star. There are a few true Chicago dog places in the Atlanta area that use the right ingredients and Vienna Beef that I think I'll stick to.

Some of my friends and I were hosting an event and wanted to get food for the day, and had gone to this establishment before. Not only had the owner promised me that what I was ordering last time would be the best that I had had (which true to his word, it was the best Chicago dog I have had), but during our most recent visit was able to help us with our huge order; they were even kind enough to comp us some chips on account of not having something on the menu from our original order. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area!
