The Marietta Local has good food, but consistency is hit or miss. We usually love the kids’ French toast with two slices of bacon and house-made fruit topping, but now it’s just one slice and syrup—disappointing. Also, you have to *buy* water, which feels a bit off for a casual spot. When it’s on, the food is great, but the little changes add up.

Oh my God, LOL. My wife and I just shared the Nashville Hot Breakfast with a side of grits and sausage for breakfast. It’s late in the morning so we were starving. We descended upon that chicken like our lives depended on it. I’m glad nobody saw the primal-like behavior we were engaging in. It was freaking good

First time there, and it was a great experience. The service was fast even though we went at 11:00 am on a Saturday and had a table of 7. Our food was amazing! I will definitely be back.

High levels of warm hospitality started before I entered as the door was held for me as I entered on a busy Saturday. The line moves so fast! The kitchen team executes a literal choreographed performance sending to food out at just the right speed. Speaking from what I had, the chicken and French toast lives up to the hype…everything right and nothing wrong with that dish. There is a secret ingredient in the chicken that I wouldn’t disclose but am very upset that I didn’t think of it first!!!
Handmade biscuits are large and the perfect texture for whatever you want to use them for, or as I did with butter and jam.
Sweet tea is high quality and balanced correctly for a southerner like myself.
Great vibes here. It is my new favorite restaurant in all of Marietta. Can’t wait to tell more people and bring some friends and family.
Great Job team Local, keep pushing!

Had a chance to stop in during Arts Festival. Jim, the owner is a very personable guy, helped us secure a table. The service was great, the fried chicken was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

We brought our guests for the weekend here and really enjoyed it. Service was prompt and everyone was friendly. We had a small issue with one of our orders and it was handled quickly by the staff. We loved every dish

Cozy corner breakfast spot- Order at the counter, pick your seat, food brought to you.
The team members are friendly and helpful if you’ve ever not been. Interior is rustic small atmosphere. I will be back to try more menu items-
Wheelchair accessibility: All one level restaurant - would be easy to move a chair to substitute wheel chair

So I came here with high expectations. I read in other reviews that the fried chicken was outstanding. They even have awards for their fried chicken displayed on the walls here. I ordered the fried plate with 2 breasts and 2 sides. The breasts were boneless. Was disappointed that breasts were the only option. I prefer thighs and drumsticks because they’re usually juicy. It’s much harder to fry bone in breast and have it come out juicy. So my chicken was not juicy. Not totally dry either. The coating was nice and crunchy and fried to a perfect dark golden brown color. However, we need to talk about seasoning. I’m sure there are many spices in their batter but the overwhelming note is salt. Heavy salt is not the same as well-seasoned. The salt taste was so overwhelming I had to take sips of my drink after each bite in order to cleanse my palate. Overall, I was not blown away by my chicken order. The sides were very good. I had the French fries which, unlike the chicken, were nicely seasoned. And I also had the collards. Very yummy. Well seasoned and tender. Overall, the meal was fine. The service was very good and the ambience was clean, friendly and informal.

Good service, incredible crusted chicken (I got the chicken and French toast: portions were plentiful and the prices were fair), coffee was pretty standard drip: overall I'm happy I ate here, will come back :)
It's located right next to the courthouse and a 2 minute walk from courthouse parking.

The food was good. Order at the counter and then wait for it to be brought to the table. The only thing that really bothered me was the feeling of being rushed 10 minutes before 2pm closing. I got my food at 1:30 ish and I think it’s very rude to put up all the chairs around me while I’m still finishing my food and trying to take the plate when I wasn’t done.. not okay. It’s not like it was 2:30. It was 2:12 when I left and I felt so rushed I didn’t even use the restroom when I had to go. Not a good impression and will not return
