My husband and I made a day trip on Saturday to Milledgeville and decided to try The Velvet Elvis Grill and Tap. We were pleasantly surprised! The food was good, but the best part of our experience was our waitress, McKenna. She was so sweet and so much fun! My husband enjoyed the banter between them as he ordered his food and beer. We felt very welcomed by her. She said we need to come back again sometime in the evening and try their steaks, which she thinks are the best....
The food was tasty and good. The service was very friendly and helpful. However, I think there's a branding issue with the name and identity of the restaurant.
One thought-- why wouldn't a placed called Velvet Elvis play an occasional Elvis song or play Elvis movies on one of the TVs or have at least one Elvis themed food item?

The Velvet Elvis is one of the most underrated restaurants in middle Ga in my opinion. We have been going there for years on steak night “which is every night they are open now” and you will have a hard time finding a better filet! Always cooked perfectly! The ribeye is a close second.
