“Our family loves the Concord Cafe. Not only is the food great, the atmosphere is great! So happy we live nearby, because we go as often as possible! (The new owners did a fabulous job remodeling the building. My grandfather operated a General Store in the building in the early 1900’s. My dad, born in 1913, worked in the store from age 5 until he boarded the train for Young Harris College in 1930. After my grandfather retired, my aunt and Uncle ran the General Store on the west side of the building.) There is a ton of history in that building and The Concord Cafe is certainly making history with the great food served in the building.”

“When entering this establishment, you will be pleasantly greeted by the southern hospitality and a touch of rustic chic. At the main entrance, you see a modestly sized bar that is beautifully designed and handmade by one of the owners. The atmosphere is definitely a 5 Star. The staff are really polite and have the cutest uniforms (Realtree Camo) shirts. We came with a group of 7, a few of our guests handicapped, we needed a space for us all that was open and easy to get to. The staff accommodated our needs and promptly prepared a space for us. We were seated at our table by one of the Owners Melanie, she was very polite, with a big welcoming smile, and answered a few of our questions about the establishment. The food, the food, the food.....Wow! BBQ the right way, it is not slathered with some random in-house sauce. It comes to you the way it came out of the pit, ready for the sauce of your choosing. Moist, Smokey, and Soooooooo Tender. I got the brisket, the best I've had in years! When it comes time to pick sides, always go for the Peach Baked Beans. It's my first time at Doodlum's, and even I know that! 5 stars all the way around! If you happen to ride through this area, you have to stop by. You won't regret it. We sure didn't. Thanks for the amazing food and even better service!Parking: Front of store, No Commercial Trucks sign out front, but it seems it may be safe to park your rig across the street.Wheelchair accessibility: There is one accessible ramp to the right side of the front handicap parking spot.”

“I got steak, a baked potatoe and that comes with the salad and dessert bar. I cannot express how welcome the people make you feel. The potatoe was cooked wonderfully, the steak was tender, juicy and cooked how I ordered. The salad and dessert bar had a variety of options.My husband got the seafood platter. I was shocked when he couldn't finish it. He was very satisfied and it looked as tasty as he said it was.My daughter got chicken tenders and MIL got hamburger steak. Their fries are fresh cut and delicious.Highly recommend for the wholsomeness and the good food.Parking: The parking lot is gravely, but there is a cover at the front door to drop someone off if needed or wanted.Kid-friendliness: I feel like this would be a good place for families with kids for sure. There is plenty of room to choose or ask for a table not near kids if you're wanting to avoid that. Although it's not something we worry about.”

“We have been hearing about the Blackbird cafe for sometime now. We rode the bikes over Sunday for lunch. Was not disappointed. We got cheese curds for appetizer, the best I’ve ever had. I had the ribeye steak, wife had grilled shrimp. Steak was so tender and the grilled shrimp was very good. The couple with us had the grilled fish and buffalo chicken sandwich. You will not go wrong eating at the Blackbird cafe. We will be going back next weekend.. 5 stars to the staff”
