Monroe's best kept secret? I think so !!! The staff is delightful (especially Sami) and the burgers are far above the rest !! My meal was absolutely perfect in every way ! The burgers are perfect in size and won't leave you searching for beef ! I am pleasantly surprised by this little hidden gem ! I had the Tony Burger and it is one of the BEST burgers I have ever had ! The meat was juicy, delicious, flavorful in itself and grilled to perfection. The perfectly balanced rosemary garlic aioli is truly one of the best experiences my tastebuds have had in awhile and is a delightful addition to an already tasty burger. Perfectly melted havarti added buttery goeyness to elevate this happy infusion of flavors even higher. The choice of bun perfectly paired to hold everything together to make an extraordinary flavorful experience.I have returned a second time already and plan to time and again ! This is one of the best, if not the best, places to eat in Georgia. They don't disappoint. If you are looking for the ultimate burger, this is the place to go !

Never been there so decided to try it today. WILL NEVER GO BACK !! Fried Chicken was WAYYYY overcooked and dry as a bone. Green Beans were not fresh, tasted like they just came from a can. Mac & Cheese more like noodles with melted Velveta poured over it. Not real cheese at all and definitely not homemade. Lima beans were mushy and none of the 3 vegetables were warm, much less hot as they should be. Cornbread is AWFUL. Tasted more like a sweet muffin,...........nothing corn-bready about them at all. Paid $35.05 for 2 lunches with tip. Will go to Journey's End in Loganville next time and pay less than that and get a full country BUFFET (all you can eat), including dessert, salad bar, 4 or 5 meats, 8 vegs or so, soup, ice cream bar and full dessert bar. Will never darken the door of Bistro South again. A-W-F-U-L !!! The best tasting thing I had there was the Diet Coke from the fountain machine. That is PATHETIC when that is the best thing at a lunch !!!!

Probably good food. When we arrived at 1 pm, they were out of meatloaf even though they still had some. Seems they had more than they planned and couldn't figure out how to put the order in. Hmm. Not a good first impression. Next time we will try to beat the church crowd.

I am writing this review a month later but I am happy to write this.I placed an order for catering with bistro south for my daughter’s first birthday since we were celebrating at such a close location.Unfortunately, the day of her birthday we had cancel due to an emergency and could NOT drive out to Monroe to pick up the order. Since the order was already made, of course we were not going to leave all that food for them to waste so we still went ahead with our purchase and had intentions of picking it up the next day.. (hoping they could freeze it for us)I do believe Monroe is 40 minutes from where we are located and couldn’t afford the time ofthe drive that day. It’s completely out of the way.I really wish I could remember who I spoke to on the phone… I think it was the owner or manager himself.Anyways, he offered to drive our food out to our home address so we can enjoy! And he did. He made it happen. Such an act of kindness really did make a huge impact on our circumstances we were dealing with at the time. And we were able to enjoy a delicious dinner.. no stress.I would recommend bistro south to anyone and everyone. Not only is the food delicious, but the employees are fabulous and have heart of gold. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you again for helping us out.

It’s good food…if you can get it. They are CONSTANTLY out of food. “I’d like the meatloaf.” “Sorry, we’re out.” “I’d like two sides of mac & cheese.” “We only have enough for one.” It’s every single time you go, and it’s half the menu. They are always out of something. When at least half of your party can’t get the food they want, it’s frustrating. And it’s not like we’re going at a weird time. It’s 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon. You’re in a grocery store!!! Go buy more food and cook it!

Great little Bistro inside of Johns Supermarket that offers traditional souther fare along with burgers, sandwiches, and Salads. Ive had lunch here a couple of times and both experiences have been great!
My son and granddaughter ask me to pick up lunch or dinner at least once or twice a week from Bistro South. My son loves the Bistro Burger and said it's second only to one at his favorite restaurant on the beach. My granddaughter loves the chicken tenders with buffalo sauce. My favorite is the catfish filets and their tartar sauce made in house. Great food! Service is always great and friendly. They are inside John's Supermarket,Monroe's hometown grocery and Glen Thompson, John's owner is loved by the customers.

The lunch was delicious we had a tony burger. The bread seemed off like it was crumbly when it shouldn’t be but the burger was good. The loaded potato salad was good as well as the Mac and cheese. We went back again but for breakfast and I don’t recommend the breakfast. It was tortuous to eat. Extremely dry and flavorless the coffee was horrible. Stick with the lunch menu and you’ll be good
