The Roe, located in downtown Monroe, offers a comfortable outdoor dining experience with a covered area. It is known for their signature PEI mussels with shaved fennel and Dom Benedictine liquor broth, which leaves a lasting impression. Chef Bruce's dishes, such as shrimp and grits, impress guests, while the menu features a standout vegan option. The restaurant is ideal for special occasions, with dishes in the mid $20 range. Guests have also enjoyed the focaccia, risotto balls, and Salmon Puttanesca, which comes with a generous portion and perfect seasoning. The in-house bakery provides tasty sourdough bread, and the unique bathrooms add to the overall experience. The service is noted for being attentive and fast, creating a welcoming ambiance. With good music and a cozy decor, The Roe is a place worth returning to.
