WOW!!!!...we were so excited to find them. Had some drinks around 230 or so and decided to wait until 5 so we could have dinner. We actually sat at the bar with the owner and had conversation about how excited we were at this new find and were looking forward to having dinner at her Restaurant. We were completely ignored and ended up heading back to our hotel in Athens.....so disappointed...we were here in GA on vacation..... will never return to this location. You certainly didn't care so we do not care to spend our money with you. Sad because Appetizers were not the intent.....also at $50 when someone asked if this is a FLIET MIGNON perhaps your staff would be better able to answer the question as opposed to I think it is.... WOW...Nick and Susan DeNoiaFt. Myers FLAgain VERY disappointed!

Fabulous place in Monroe. Food was delicious. Cocktails are very creative and yummy. It was my birthday and the surprise dessert was sweet. Service is very special and knowledgeable, only issue was timing. Our entrees came out after we had only just gotten our charcuterie board. Otherwise... Highly recommend ?

Whether you decide to eat on the patio or dine on the inside, you will experience a comfortable and romantic atmosphere, and you will be greeted by a wonderful staff. The absolute best place to enjoy a cocktail in the beautiful city of Monroe.

Very disappointing, nice atmosphere, good service but drinks and food were not up to par. Ordered $50 filet cooked medium, comes out well done. Send it back second steak cooked correctly but tough and just not great, had a better steak at Waffle House. Mixed drinks were overpriced and did not deliver on taste. Had the $25 Charcuterie Board for appetizer and again nothing special, had better from Publix. This is our 4th and final dinner at The Roe, definitely need to step their game up if their gonna survive.

Bottom Line Up Front: This is probably not the best place to go if you have food allergies. This evening we chose to dine at the Roe. We have food allergies, so we were very excited when the wait staff asked us about our allergies and ensured that they were speaking with the Chef to make sure our meal met our specific dietary needs. In fact, I even corresponded with the General Manager and Chef before our arrival to ensure they could meet our dietary needs before we arrived. Unfortunately, about halfway into eating our meal, the general manager approached our table and informed us that there had been a communication error with the kitchen and that we had been served one of our allergy foods. Although we had a rough and abrupt ending to our meal, we want to highlight and emphasize that the waitstaff were fantastic. They immediately jumped into action and tried to ensure that we were okay. As I mentioned at the beginning, if you have any food allergies or food restrictions, this is probably not the place to go.Dietary restrictions: This is not the best place to go if you have dietary restrictions. See an explanation of my experience above.

We went to The Roe for our 5 year Anniversary for the first time ever and let me just say it was amazing!!! Brittany, our waitress was the absolute best and treated us with amazing service and was so knowledgeable. From the yummy food and amazing drinks, it’s safe to say we have a new favorite anniversary dinner spot. We will be back many more times.

My hubby and I went to The Roe for the first time on Valentine’s Day 2023 and were blown away by the food, the service, and the ambiance. Fast forward just one year - we have been back several times, it was never quite as good as the first visit that hooked us. This year, 2024 V- Day we went back hopeful, but we were so disappointed. The food was mediocre at best - appetizers were not well executed, the entree which was steak and twice baked potato for both of us - was nothing special. The potatoes seemed thrice baked instead of twice baked. Service was slow and poor, AND there are no seat cushions… just painted benches and flimsy chairs… Similar to medieval torcher devices for you a$$. For such a LARGE price tag for a meal ($200) no one should be ready to leave before dessert. I can’t whole heartedly recommend this establishment anymore. Chick-fil-A would be a better choice.

I was in last night with my fiancé and we were both impressed with the presentation and more importantly the flavor of the food. She had the salmon and I had the trout special and I can honestly say the trout was the best fish I’ve had, we both have been to a lot of 5 star restaurants and this place is definitely in the top two and possibly #1. The staff was great, very attentive . We decided to get the cheesecake after dinner and we were both impressed once again on the presentation and the flavor, the best cheesecake we’ve ever tasted. A very relaxed atmosphere, was not loud and we enjoyed our three plus hours there. The drinks were great and at a reasonable price, my fiancé has been in Georgia 20 years and it’s the best in Georgia and outside of the states and she is very a good concierge, lol, and the best cook ever. We will definitely be back, hats off to all the staff and the chef an extra hats off, great job everyone.
