This evening I stopped by Brusterās Monroe to pick up my usual order. Typically I come and the owner (who is always very hospitable) takes my order with no issues. Unfortunately, this time when asking for my extra toppings as a side, I was met with the rudest interaction Iāve ever had with an employee ANYWHERE. She told me they donāt give out that particular topping even after I expressed that the manager sells this to me all the time. I was disheartened to find that customer service at this location has significantly declined and I will be doing my best to avoid this location in the future.

Owner: Either stop telling your employees to ask for tips at the window - or if you are not training them to do this (though Iām sure you are), advise them to stop. Itās tacky and off-putting. My wife and I stopped going to Brusterās Monroe because of this. The last time I was there, I was boldly asked āWould you like to leave a tip on your credit card?ā
I am not going to tip an employee or anyone for handing me an ice cream cone at the window. Perhaps pay your employees 1 dollar more per hour and advise them to stop asking for tips.

The service could be better. And the ice cream is not always good. Hit or miss depending on which flavor you choose.. Ask to taste it first before you choose. The cherries are sour and spoiled alot of the time.. in the ice cream and the ones they put on top.... I dont go to this location anymore. Brusters cost too much to MAYBE enjoy it each time.
My experience at Brusterās is always pleasant. They have the best ice cream and great selections to accommodate any treat you want.
