Fantastic food. Much more authentic than the cruddy fast food. Love their refried beans, both kinds. Sweet, if sometimes quirky staff?. Some of the sauces are wonderfully hot. Careful, they have plenty of dishes that aren't overpowering. Try the Aztec tacos. one with pastor (pork) and one with steak. Muy Bueno!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access. Handicap parking directory in front of entrance. Kind staff.
Service got 3 stars because we don't care for the waitress. She was the same one that was there when the place was Rockys and always forgot things, took forever to get drinks or even food order etc. Luckily, now with it being a different restaurant, you just walk in and go straight to the counter to order now. First time at Oax-Mex was just okay. The street tacos were a bit dry and lacking in flavor. The street burrito was better; however, it also could’ve used more flavor. The rice was flavorless. Refried beans were good. The service was good and the place was nice and clean. Disappointed that it was not as good as it looked! Hopefully next time will be a better, more flavorful experience.
