Both the owner and store manager were deeply apologetic. They reported having addressed the staffing issue immediately upon learning of what happened. We’ll be back to Smallcakes as customers since the apology could not have been more genuine.

Writing this review at 5:33pm on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Their hours on Google state they’re open until 6pm on Sundays. Their door says it as well. Brought our two sons to get cupcakes today at 5:30pm and the door was locked. Made eye contact with the employee inside with the green hair who was still very obviously working. The fact that our kids were crying outside in the cold had no impact on this individual.
Maybe there’s a reason they closed earlier than the hours stated online and on their door. I’d love to hear it, if so.“
