“I reserve two tables for my birthday, and I had a total of 14 guests. The staff was excellent. They treated us really well. They gave me a private room in the back for my party. I didn’t even reserve that room. The dealers were really nice and made it fun. The waitress did an excellent job with taking our orders. She never kept us waiting and she divided the checks so easily. They even took my birthday cake to the back and cut it, and put it in several to-go boxes.
Everyone was so nice and professional. I will definitely come back for events in the future.

Since this is a fairly new establishment, I think the staff could do a better job of explaining the food and drinks being served, especially when customers have questions about what they’re ordering.

I have much more I could say, but my biggest disappointment was the food. Please stop using boxed or bagged shrimp. The shrimp did not taste fresh, and the grits had absolutely no flavor. A dish like shrimp and grits really needs good seasoning and quality ingredients to stand out.

Overall, the atmosphere and service were great, and this place definitely has potential. With some improvements in the kitchen and more attention to the quality and flavor of the food, it could be a really nice spot.“

“Been coming since they opened! Love their outdoor area and their food shouldn’t be missed. Don’t sleep on the United pizza - one of the best pizzas in the city, the nachos are out of this world & the hummus is a sleeper hit (who knew hummus could be SO good?!) “Tried one of the new chicken dishes and it was BEYOND DELICIOUS!!! I got the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp with the mashed potatoes. And Oh My Goodness!!!! The picture is a screenshot directly from the website. I have NEVER had such tender chicken breast ANYWHERE!!! You can cut it with your fork and it's almost like cutting through softened butter!! This is absolutely no exaggeration!!!! The seasoning on the chicken and shrimp is BEYOND DELICIOUS!!!! I just honestly cannot get over just HOW AMAZING this chicken and shrimp dish is!!!!! And on top of that, when your server or another server brings it to you, it is blistering hot!! So you know it hasn't been just sitting in the kitchen waiting for someone to deliver it. “We visit the North River Tavern quite a bit, but tonight, Our server, Stephanie, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We were also pleasantly surprised by how quick the wait was, which made the visit even better.
The food truly stole the show. The onion rings were SOOO good—perfectly crispy and flavorful. And the firecracker burger? Even better! Packed with flavor and cooked to perfection, my husband says the chicken tenders are 10/10! it’s definitely a must-try.

Someone posted a complaint that the place was too loud, with music and TV sports happening simultaneously, which was a little startling to read. I order take out from there occasionally, but its a bar, for Christ's sake! People drinking, eating and unwinding after a hard day. If that displeases you, go to McDonald's. Some folks have nothing nice to say, but unfortunately, they say it anyway.“

“Naturally I’m a hockey fan being from Pittsburgh. We arrived at Verizon Amphitheatre only to find the doors didn’t open for an hour so we decided to find the closest bar. Obviously Finley’s was where we ended up not knowing it was inside the cooler!
