“My husband and I ate here this past Friday to celebrate our anniversary. We sat outside and had a nice view of the train tracks and sunset. The service was great, the food came quickly and was hot and fresh. I got the shrimp and grits and it was unbelievable. We could smell the caramel sauce being made from down the street, so we knew we had to try the pound cake bananas foster, and it was to die for. Absolutely recommend!!”

We spent right under $50 for four entrees, fries, and drinks. It wasn’t cheap but it was too expensive. We love supporting a smaller place like this instead of chain restaurants.”

“I celebrated my birthday this year at Hubs and Hops. The atmosphere there is great and the people are always very friendly. A local brewery was doing a tap takeover and handing out merch and discount cards. The owners are fabulous and have stopped by my table every time I’ve been there to speak to us. They always have a great selection of craft beer and wine. The live music was a hit! I had friends come from Tallahassee and Valdosta and we all had a great time. We will be back soon.”

“Y’all… don’t sleep on the ribeye. I am super picky about my steaks. I don’t want a wimpy wet steak or a hard rubber tire. This is a high quality steak and has a perfect sear on the outside and bright red on the inside. (MR) For everyone that’s been whining about Cairo needs a steakhouse, here it is. This is a huge ribeye, and $45, but we shared it and it was all both of us could eat. It was sooooo good (i did add a little salt but no steak sauce needed here). You can get the ribeye any time but Wednesdays steak night has salad and baked potato. (Otherwise, you can get fries) Everything is good. Try it!!”

There were 8 of us but it looked like it would accommodate 16-20. It was perfect. We were able to have normal conversations without interference from other diners.”

There’s so much bad out there that this place is definitely on the positive side. No single beer blew my socks off, but nothing was bad either. The mojo was alright, and the crowd skewed a bit older. I’d still visit again though despite my criticisms thus the 5-stars.”

“I have stopped at Mr. Chick every time I visit Cairo going on 25 plus years. The food is always fantastic and reasonably priced. The staff has always been very friendly while providing fast service. Their food is always fresh and delicious. Yes, you may have to stand in line to order a little longer during rush hours, but I don't mind because a lot of people eat there. If a lot of people are eating there, that's a statement in itself.”
