“I live teppanyaki restaurants. Some are great. Some are only good. This one was closer to great. The food was excellent.

The chef patter was good

The onion and mushroom soup was EXCELLENT.

The service was ok. I'm not sure why I need a glass absolutely full of ice in early May, indoors, but they did it TWICE. (photo)

The filet was properly cooked, as was the lobster. The fish fillet was slightly overcooked, and a bit salty.

The vegetables were good, perhaps a bit on the rare side

“I cannot rave about enough about this place! I have food allergies and they were well documented on the order. Not only is the food great but so is the service.“

“My brother and I had lunch on 9/11. We both had the Teriyaki chicken, I had the fried rice and my brother the white rice. At the time of our order, I placed a to go order of egg rolls and a side of fried rice. I did not check my to go order and after arriving home I realized no fried rice. My sister picked up the fried rice on the way home from work. I will definitely be back“

“Some of the best sushi in the state of Georgia! It was a pleasant surprise for us to find this authentic Japanese place in the middle of Savannah's downtown. We tried a few items and all them were so-so tasty. Miso soup, Mushroom soup, Edamame, Pepper Tuna tataki, Black Angel roll, Sashimi wrap, Spicy Tuna roll with avocado, cucumber and tobiko, but the most delicious roll out of all was the Amazing Tuna roll. It was so good, after we received our food items and tasted them all, we had to order more of Amazing Tuna roll as we couldn't get enough. Service by Jaycen was outstanding. We were very happy to have found this mouthwatering sushi joint and will definitely be back when we visit Savanah again.“

“I’ve been going to this Sakura since it opened (10years?) and it has been consistently delicious and very friendly. They make an excellent dish of sautéed veggies with broiled fish on top and a yummy sauce. They don’t skimp on serving size and that holds true of their reasonably priced wine by the glass. Always a treat. The chef is very willing to accommodate requests for small changes in a dish if he can. I’m guessing they will try to accommodate larger groups but call first since this restaurant is a bit smaller with a more intimate atmosphere.“

“HEIWAS is such a nice little spot with real mom and pop vibes. The owners are super kind and always genuinely happy to see everyone coming in. The service is consistently great and you can tell they truly care about their customers.

The food is amazing every time. I’ve ordered takeout a few times and it’s always fresh and delicious. The chefs clearly care about what they’re serving and it really shows in the quality.

“The food was delicious, but the waiter's attitude was terrible. I heard from a friend that they forced us to tip, but I didn't believe it at first. Today, after experiencing it myself, I realized that my friend was right. The service attitude was terrible. They didn't respond when I called them, and they were noisy and rude. As a result, when I went to the front desk to pay, the waiter followed me, asked me to swipe the card, pointed to the tip column and the name column and asked me to sign the tip and my name. The most speechless thing for me was that the lady at the front desk didn't stop them. My God, this is simply a rogue.“

“This place isn't really set up for large groups but my daughter wanted to go here for her graduation celebration and we were there with 13 people. They handled it well and let us hang out in the place for quite awhile. Food was also great and fast despite how many of us there were.“

“This place is always serving up the freshest entrees and bowls. I love the Yakinuka beef with mushrooms, veggies and broccoli. I like that I was able to add on instead of getting rice and it wasn't too pricey. The folks who work there make it a habit to clean the countertops, trashcan and tables very well. The restrooms were also clean. I was greeted with a smile when I entered and ordered.“

“This place brings the hibachi experience quick and yummy. I was not familiar with the menu but a kind and patient Stephanie helped me through my order. Great spot to get the japanese habachi experience on the go. Nice clean restaurant and nice employees.“
