The food was great, we wanted to have steak so the server was kind enough to let us know when the dinner menu started and even let us take our time sightseeing while we wait. The atmosphere of course was to die for. I'm a big fan of the Vampire Diaries series so it was incredibly beautiful like I expected.“

The manager, Rick White, was PHENOMENAL. He absolutely made my first experience here great! He provided that “southern hospitality” that most places tend to lack. “My best friend and I go here often and always have an awesome time. My best friend works here and sings karokeThey usually karoke on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights from 9PM and ends at 2AM. The bartender,¹Cesar really knows his stuff and makes great drinks and Tim the owner is awesome and fun to be around.He works just as hard as all the other employees. This is really an awesome place to hang out and have good clean fun. OH and don't forget the dancing. The depot has the best dance floor around. Just an all around great hangout. Also, to mention its a safe place to go and hang with friends and have an awesome time. Pool tables and slot machines are also available for added great time.“
“We were on our way down I-20 and stopped at Whistle Post for dinner. There was a real friendly atmosphere. The live band did some solid southern rock covers, a little country, and even some Motown! The Reuben, Philly Cheesesteak, and catfish fillets were tasty and they have good ol'e PBR on draft. It was a great stop!!“
“All around five stars. Bartender served me a lovely peach crown sour, served with some loaded chili tots, now normally I hate chili but on these tater tots, very good. Music was also great and the crowd really vibed well with the musicians creating a wonderful connected atmosphere. Truely an experience that made me understand why bars can be so great.“
