“We came to eat after a USATF Region 4 Junior Olympic Track Meet. We left with our bellies full and food enough to take back to our hotel because of the hefty portion size. Our food was hot and delicious! Ms. Sadie is down to earth! Come check her out!”

“Well… We were looking for a to-go meal and wanted something close by. As our search went, we came across this Irish Pub, as the name it was under. Looked at the menu and wife saw Pork chops, and some other sides that sounded like a winner.

So, I went to this place, located in Rex, at the Creekside Village shopping center, next to Food Depot.

Turns out that the name was changed to Urban Pub Bar and Grill. I remember seeing it once before and the place was packed in the evening hours. Parking isn’t an issue due to the shopping center lot, so no worries there.

Went in and it is a decent size place. The menu has changed just a bit since it was bought by another party. Still though, we could get most of what I saw of the menu online. Opted for the fried pork chop meal, added a side of fried okra, cabbage, greens and mac n cheese. It comes with 2 sides already with the meal. That was the cabbage and greens. Also added an extra chop too, it comes with just one.

The chops were seasoned just right, and the crunch was tops, and still moist inside. Someone knows how to cook back in that kitchen… The greens were spicy and excellent, and the cabbage was on point too. There was a piece of smoked meat in it and it was tasty… Then the mac n cheese, it was creamy and had a slight crust on top, tasted a few types of cheese in it, I thought one was Smoked Gouda, though I didn’t ask. The okra was also fried just right, crunchy and tender. Overall, it was a hit.

Lunch specials are advertised in the bar but was told that one or more may change soon.

It has a Stage, and pool table area (maybe 4 total), as well as some digital slots in the same area. A juke box too.

A main bar as you enter and plenty of seating. The have bands and Karaoke on certain days too. Car shows they host as well.

I went during the afternoon, so it wasn’t busy at all, but nights seem to be the party time. If the food is this good, then I can be assured that the rest of the menu items are more likely to be a hit.

We’ll be back for those Ribs, wings and fish meals I’ve been peepin…

“What are you looking for in BBQ? This spot was it for me. A little shack with the best smoked meats I've had in some time. The BBQ sauce hit perfectly with the seasoning used on the chicken, ribs and chopped pork. The sides complimented the meats just right. Then there is the Peach Cobbler....made me an instant fan, and I usually don't do peach anything, but while in GA I couldn't say no!”

“We stopped here on a road trip through Atlanta. I eat gluten free, and it can be very hard to find good gluten free options on a road trip. Not only did Ollie’s have delicious sandwich options, then had gluten free bread! I had the curry chickpea sandwich and it was delicious. We all tried some of the local sodas too. Highly recommend!”

“One of my favorite cafes in Atlanta. Always a great coffee and breakfast sandwich. One of their staple characteristics is that every meal comes with a melody of assorted fruits. I am biased because they do offer our high quality acai straight from brazil . Moreover, I do what i do because I get to partner with the bet establishments in the city of Atlanta! Here we come ! Make sure to visit, and bring your laptop or a book, the playlist will be guaranteed to keep you a little while longer and the super rare antiques abundantly spread across the cafe will have you scheduling your next visit. Lastly, the people who work at Jpresso and those that frequent it for a nice time are all great. Make sure to make a friend. Hapeville has a winner with this one!”

“I heard about The Black Coffee Company from someone this morning because they knew I was looking for a space to do some work with good coffee. I immediately drove over and when I tell you Crystal made me the Killer Mike and she made it a little sweet for me and Brianna topped my taste buds off with the avocado toast with everything on it. This is my new favorite spot. The music is great, not too loud that you can’t work but just right. I highly recommend them. They are a whole vibe.”

“This place is legit on Funk Fridays. Loved the outdoor seating area and the staff was super informative and friendly. The grazing board was delicious and unique in the arrangement of cheeses and meats. Great ambiance. The flies got a little crazy gathering around your food and drink if you sit outside. So be sure to get a table fan to keep them away if you sit outside, as that was helpful for us! We loved the funky wine flights and the great selection of wine! The side saddle burgers were juicy and delicious as well. Unfortunately the chicken wings left a lot to be desired in terms of texture and flavor. The green chimichuri sauce they top the wings with was too oily and it just seeped into and overpowered the wings.”

“Absolutely great customer service and excellent food and coffee! Came after the Taylor Swift Concert and the place was hoppin’! The staff were all awesome and friendly even with how busy they were. The coffee was excellent, Lavender Haze on the Taylor’s menu was chefs kiss! They were even kind enough to make my 8 year old a Taylor’s version hot chocolate with a little lavender in it! Food was delicious! We will absolutely be back on our next Atlanta visit!”
