Service for a 7:45p reservation in a relatively empty restaurant was abysmal. It took forever to get our food. It then took even longer to get our bills. We like we were being held hostage. The salmon was dry, the shrimp & grits were mediocre. Just wish we had better food & experience for such a high price point.

Servers: triple check your food before serving it -- the kitchen often misses those "gluten-free bun" details. Also, don't ask me if I need the sandwich "re-made" or "re-plated" and then bring me a re-plated (sandwich contents moved from wheat bread to gluten-free bread) after I've asked it to be re-made. For Pete's sake, you even used the same sandwich pick! The *patron* pays the price for these mistakes and inconsistencies. Health before wealth, every day.Dietary restrictions: Be vigilant (ad im.sure you always are) about your "gluten-free" orders. Servers may miss kitchen mistakes.

Best view on the island for a casual bite or drink
Service was marginal at best. Problems with both food and drink service. Out of our party of six, three enjoyed their meal, Three not so much. One person ordered a bottle of wine and after 15 minutes, server retuned 15 minutes later to tell us they didn’t have that wine. He ordered a different one and after 10 more minutes it arrived.They automatically add 18% gratuity and you don’t see it on menu nor are you told. It’s kind of hidden on the bill. 18% is not bd but the service was not great. I guess that’s one reason.

I didn’t even get to eat there because they cancelled my reservation on my birthday. The restaurant closes at 9, my reservation was for 8:45 that I made a WEEK prior and they cancelled it the day of! Then proceeded to call me and leave me voicemails trying to accommodate… once I got on the phone the manager changed her mind I guess and said we could only come in at 8… TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

Breakfast was amazing! Seafood omelette was loaded with crab and shrimp, Island Breakfast Scramble was full of flavor particularly the biscuit and sausage gravy, and the grits were the best we’ve ever had. Our server was sweet and perfectly attentive. And you can’t beat the view of the beach!

We traveled to St. Simon's for a celebratory birthday dinner at Echo. We were contacted 2 hours prior to reservation and informed our reservation was canceled due to an "issue in the kitchen". Our weekend was ruined.

We had a reservation @ 7pm and when we got there we were told all reservations were delayed. We ended up having to sit outside by ourselves because we had a child with us and could not wait any longer to eat. Our food was cold by the time we got it and we had to rush to eat because we did not get served until almost 8pm. They had our contact information so a call or text beforehand would have been nice to warn us of the delay. Also, we told them we made the 7pm reservation because we had to be home by 8pm for our child to go to bed, and not much effort was made to accommodate our situation.

I got the Cobb Salad with cran-raspberry vinaigrette. Deeeeee-licious. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was outstanding. Everyone was kind. Staff members greeted us when walking by. It felt like a very hospitable environment. Highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: My 10 years old daughter was with us. She enjoyed her food and the scenery. I saw other kids her age in the establishment as well.

Wonderful place for lunch and Ocean view. Our server Ben was outstanding.
Went to echo for breakfast with my family of 5 as we were staying at the king and prince and i was incredibly underwhelmed, especially for it being located in a highly rated resort. Our waitress didn’t greet us and was pretty much just like “what do you want.” We all ordered pretty quick, but she made it feel like we needed to order even faster (we were one of two tables occupied in the whole restaurant so there was absolutely no rush). I asked for an Irish coffee, which is a rather common request, and the waitress just looked at me and said…we don’t carry fancy coffee from Ireland. She was gone so fast that I couldn’t explain to her i just wanted whiskey in my coffee. The other table in the restaraunt was a single older lady dining by herself. She was ready to pay when we sat down, and i watched her waiting patiently for the waitress to come over to run her credit card for about 30 minutes, she finally gets up, walks over to the kitchen area looking for help, and a waitress i had never seen stepped out from the back and was rude and pretty much told her the waitress will be with her in a second. I felt so bad for the elderly lady. The food was mediocre, but you can’t really mess up a lox bagel.
