We celebrated our 40th anniversary there, and the staff was so kind and generous, surprising us with a special treat. Jordan was a delight, and the pineapple summer crunch salads were perfect, fresh with unexpected ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant with ocean views. The menu prices are fair, matching those of other local restaurants, though I anticipated higher costs given its prime oceanside location.
The ambiance, food, service, and view were excellent. It is nestled in the back of a resort hotel with a great bar and view of the beach. Our server was JD and he provided very attentive service and great food recommendations. The food was flavorful and well prepared. The steak was juicy and well seasoned. Even though it was cloudy, the view of the beach was clear and a great backdrop for hubby's Father's Day dinner.
I returned to this restaurant for the Roast Beef, Shrimp and Grits, followed by my favorite Peanut Butter Pie. Sadly you no longer have two of these choices. I will have to spend my next trip to SSI somewhere else.
