I was slightly disappointed given the recommendations I'd received. The food was good, but the portions were small compared to the prices and the seating was a little cramped. The standout was the service. From hostess that wait staff and even the bus boy, everyone was great.
The service was 100% better (at the bar) than Crabdaddys. There is no comparison!! The food is different at both restaurants, but I would go back to Crabtrap if sitting at the bar. The Crab Soup was also100% better at Crabtrap. At least you will be waited on and even acknowledge when sitting at the bar.
We ate there last night. We set at the bar even though there were plenty of tables. My experience is the service is always consistently better from the bar. Sitting at a table is hit or miss from the servers. Food was delicious. We had crab soup, bowl of shrimp, shrimp creole and fried oysters. Timing is key on when to go. This place gets very busy and we always make sure to go early (5:30-6).
