While in town for St. Patrick’s Day, I went to brunch with friends what should have been a great experience to the start of an exciting day trip quickly turned into one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had.
It started with two Bloody Mary’s at our table containing bugs. Although that alone should have been enough to leave, we chose to stay something we now regret, especially after my husband initially suggested otherwise.

If I wanted extra protein in my Bloody Mary, I would’ve asked for it.
Came to Two Cracked Eggs Cafe on St. Patrick’s Day thinking we’d get a solid brunch experience. Instead, my Bloody Mary came out with a bug sitting comfortably in the lettuce garnish—like it paid rent. Now, I understand produce comes from the earth and sometimes things get missed if it’s not washed properly, so we gave them grace and stayed. That was probably mistake number one.
