I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, and while it packed more heat than I typically go for, I have to admit—it was incredibly juicy and full of flavor. The spice didn’t just burn; it had depth, which made each bite a mix of pain and pleasure (in the best way possible).

To balance things out, I also ordered a side of chicken, and this was where Hattie B’s really won me over. The crispy, golden-brown skin had the perfect crunch, and the seasoning was on point—flavorful without being overwhelming. If you’re someone who loves spice but doesn’t want to go overboard, I’d probably recommend going a step down from “spicy” on the heat scale.

Overall, Hattie B’s delivered on flavor, texture, and quality. If you can handle the heat, the spicy sandwich is worth a try, but the perfectly crisp chicken on the side might just steal the show. Would I go back? Absolutely—though next time, I might play it a little safer on the spice level!“

“Ms. Rita was the absolute BEST host that we’ve encountered on any of our food journeys! She took the time to explain the menu and spice levels and even gave solid recommendations for our kids. This was our first time having Korean food and it was all amazing. I highly recommend the fried chicken. The original is really crispy, so I can’t imagine how crispy the extra crispy is. As a fair warning, if you only slightly like spice, you want to get Level 1 spicy. Our family loves spicy foods, and the Level 2 was one of the hotter spice levels we’ve had anywhere. There is also a level 3 if you’re up for it! We stopped here on a Sunday around 12:00 after most of the brunch places had at least an hour wait. We were able to get in with no wait and the food was amazing! If you’re on the fence, try something new. We will be back for the chicken and ramen next time we’re in ATL.“

A nice woman greeted me at the door and asked if I needed any recommendations since it was my first time. She was so sweet. I had the chicken pasta and six wings. The pasta was an absolute delight seasoned very well, pasta perfect, wasn’t heavy on the cheese but just the right amount, and the chicken was so flavorful. I really enjoyed my meal yawl! Wings were great as well, fried perfect. I went at 9pm on a Monday I believe and the wait wasn’t long at all, under 20 minutes. “I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, it fell a bit short for me. While the service was exceptional, truly a 6 out of 5, with the young gentleman at the front being welcoming and the older gentleman in the back incredibly kind and polite, the pricing felt steep compared to similar options in the area.

For example, an 8-piece family fried chicken is priced at $30, and a 2-piece order costs $10, which is nearly double the cost of other halal spots nearby. Do note the chicken is of very good quality. Hormone free, vegetable fed and no antibiotics administered. During my visit, I ordered an 8-piece wings with fries. While the food was good, the dim lighting inside made the atmosphere feel a bit gloomy, and at first glance, I even thought the place might be closed.

That said, I really appreciate the effort and hospitality of the staff. If they were to adjust the pricing a little bit and perhaps brighten up the space, this spot has great potential to become a local favorite.

“They only had 4 items at opening and as I was deciding, the manager says "it's only 4 items, it's not that hard." I ordered a burger without cheese but received a burger with cheese, so I guess it was that hard. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The rice was seasoned well and the wings weren’t cooked too hard. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was that I wanted extra shrimp in my shrimp fried rice but it was $1 extra for 4 tiny shrimp. I didn’t mind paying the additional cost but I needed more then 4 salad shrimp. Other than that everything was great. The customer service was good as well and unfortunately that’s hard to come by in the food industry.“

I had garlic Parmesan as well which I didn’t care for as they were too oiley and probably should’ve stuck with all hot honey. Needless to say I will be ordering again as everything was good.
