“Over the years, Varner’s Tavern has become one of our favorite go-to spots. They serve the best wings in Smyrna—hands down—but even when we’re not in the mood for wings, their menu has plenty of other delicious options to choose from. Our kids always find something they enjoy too, which makes Varner’s an easy pick for family outings. The service is consistently great, and on the rare occasion something isn’t right, they’re quick to make it right. We’ve brought several friends here over the years, and now it’s one of their favorite spots too!“

“Beer was good, but on 10/04 I took a hefty fall when one of their patio chairs gave out beneath me. I experienced the darkest ego death of my life. The chair buckled like it knew I deserved it. Waitresses were super kind and kept checking on me seriously, 10/10 for empathy. Very scary. RIP my dignity.“

“My friend girl brought me to this restaurant for my birthday. I had the turkey ribs, collards, yams and Mac and cheese and the bread pudding, we even tried the fried green tomato,she had the turkey wings. OH ! My gosh the food was sooo, ( never heard of nor had a turkey ribs) it was so tender and the sauce was point on. I don't mind paying a good piece if the service and food is great. When I left this restaurant I took a picture and posted on Facebook, telling everybody I know about this fabulous time at this place and they got to try it out. The service, and my waiter was a 10 .plus“

“Been coming here regularly for months. It doesn't matter how big the crowd is, how busy the bar is, or how varied the music is. The vibe is always in the right place. The Saturday DJ, Jake, is a friendly dude, and he's got some of the best variety in music I've seen. Also, best bartender award has to go to Jordan. All in all, 10/10 bar, great experience every time.“

“Super divey spot. If you don't like the smell of a dive bar and the dark atmosphere this might not be for you. The wings were AMAZING and they were priced extremely well. The bartender was super nice too. Definitely come thru and have some wings and beer sometime. You won't be disappointed.“

“This might be the coolest place known to mankind. The ambiance is like no other. They do it their way and if that suits you than this is the spot . The food was excellent. The Ka'mana Wa'na Lei'ya burger was over the top and the pineapple jalapeno jelly was bomb. They bring you a lot of napkins up front and I needed them. But the star of the show was my server Lex. She is the Shohei Ohtani (sorry Braves fan) of the downtown restaurant scene. She was super pleasant with a great smile and absolutely nailed every service point. I asked that she bring me a second beer without even asking when my first ran low. Sure a shit, there it was. She recommended the Muthacluckin' Chicken Rolls and killed it. Lex checked on me just enough and helped me with some official Vortex merch. How about a standing ovation for whoever is responsible for having her on staff. All said, if you love delicious food, great service and ambiance like no other - this is your place.“

“Top Dogs Kennesaw is the only place my husband and I shop for our pups. Having a greyhound, Frenchie, and mini Aussie, all with different needs, the knowledge the girls have is invaluable. I always trust them to guide me to make the best decisions for our pups!“

The queens here work the room, one of the best shows I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot of drag shows. Bartenders and music were on point. Love this venue. 10/10“

“The sports grill in my "pub". All the food is amazing, and they have daily specials for food and drinks. They've got pool tables and poker as well as trivia. The staff take the time to learn your name and what you like. There have been many times when I walk in, and my drink of choice, a tal beer in a cold glass, is waiting on me at my spot. Sometimes, when it's busy, you may wait a bit for service, but that's life. I've never seen a fight or even a "strong disagreement" there. It's a cool local bar. I go about once or twice a week. Spirits and Cocktails shine and are made to pack a punch! Buffalo hot wings, handheld sandwiches, and entrees are all properly made to order and served hot with quality made ingredients. “I love Johnny’s hideaway! It’s so fun but the weekends call for busy nights. Lines can get long so ask a bouncer for the evenings table prices to skip the line. If you’re with a group it’s worth it for sure. The food is amazing and the drinks are strong! Music is great and everyone will be dancing so don’t be embarrassed to show off your best moves.
