“Having just moved to the Statham/Winder area, we thought there wouldn’t be a lot of places we could frequent for dining out. I was hesitant to try Chen’s family because nobody was there and the building itself is rather unassuming. I have to say though, I’m glad I did. There’s not much to the dining area even though it is really clean. They were very friendly and served my food promptly with a smile. The reason it was empty was because most of their business (at least on a Sunday night) was take out. Even though they had a ton of orders and several pick ups, I still had great service!
The food was very reasonably priced and probably one of the top 3 best tasting Chinese I’ve had. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it was a bit warm in the dining room for an optimal experience. If you’re passing through the area it’s just a short detour off the beaten path. We will definitely make this a new favorite!”

“Apparently the restaraunt is inside the SHORT STOP EXPRESS Convenience Store. I decided to try this restaraunt because of the reviews and mannnnn am I glad I found this store - this was the most best Mexican food I have had in Barrow County. I had the steak tacos and they were delicious - I will be coming back!!

Parking: There is parking spots in front of the store and the right side of the store so there is plenty of parking from what I saw.

Kid-friendliness: Restaraunt was very kid friendly - the attendants inside the convenience store were very friendly and all of the people at the restaurant were super nice.”

“We discovered this place by chance a couple weeks ago. Stopped in for a cold drink and ordered some wings as well. We returned during the Sunflower festival today for lunch. The place was busy. We ordered wing combos. The food was great, service was great!
The folks that run the place are very friendly and eager to serve. I had no problem leaving a generous tip in the jar. Keep up the good work!

“We placed a curbside order at the Statham subway and on our way there it said the order was cancelled. I called and spoke to to Levi. He was very nice, went above and beyond to help. They did get our order and he made it for us right away. Thank you Levi. And the sandwiches he made were amazing!!”

“We enjoy the Winder location for dinner and Sunday brunch and decided to try the Monroe location. We were looking forward to a nice evening out, but due to the service we won't be back to Monroe. The food was good, when we finally received it. We had a reservation and once we were seated, we waited 20 minutes for our server to come and greet us and ask for our drink order. No one came over until I went to the front counter to ask who our server was. The food arrived an hour after being seated. The atmosphere was loud and crowded. I much prefer the Winder location and we will only be going back there in the future.”

Really good coffee, friendly service, cheaper than Starbucks. Give it a try.

Coffee was surprisingly good. In my opinion it was better tasting than Jittery Joe's, Starbucks and Dunkin. It's cheaper than Starbucks but not by much. I got a Cappuccino with vanilla and it was very good. I didn't try their food but the menu looks good.

The young lady there was also very nice. Service was fast as well but there was no line to be fair.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Top 10 Meal of Our Lives! We just had dinner at The Bistro on Broad in Winder, and it absolutely blew us away. We’re no strangers to good food—we’re certified foodies—and this meal easily cracked the top 10 meals of our lives. We started with the pimento cheese and gnocchi to share, and both were downright insane in the best way. Creamy, rich, balanced—like Southern comfort and fine dining had a baby. For entrées, we ordered the shrimp & grits and the Campanella with beef ragout… and then proceeded to eat off each other’s plates all night because we genuinely couldn’t decide which one we liked better. The shrimp & grits were smoky, buttery perfection, and the ragout was slow-cooked, soul-warming magic. Dessert? Blueberry cobbler and chocolate bread pudding. We were already full, but we pushed through like champions. Both were ridiculously good—the kind of good that makes you consider licking the plate. And major shoutout to Bree, our server—she was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, attentive, and spot-on with every recommendation. She made the experience even better. Everything from the food to the atmosphere to the service was top notch. Winder is lucky to have this gem. If you haven’t been yet—go. And bring stretchy pants!”

“Rancho Veijo Cantina & Terrace is our 2nd home. We have been going here very frequently for almost a year and we never want to leave. The staff treat us like family and we don't take that for granted. The food is amazing, always high quality and served fast. However, as good as the food and drinks are, that only scratches the surface. We love it because of the atmosphere. It just feels like hanging out with close friends and family. We look forward to seeing our favorite people and spending time in conversation. The attention to detail and customer service here is unmatched.
