I really wanted to like this place. 25 minute wait for a table at 2pm on a Saturday, which is fine, we were happy to wait. But our food took over an hour to arrive, so the kitchen is very slow. The fried seafood was good, and the fish part of the snapper special was tasty, but the rice was mushy and the asparagus was undercooked. Disappointing for a $22 plate.I wonder if the owners are too cheap to have adequate staffing during the gap between lunch and dinner, or if this was a fluke. Not sure if I'll be back.

Was there for music bingo. Host had the volume dialed to 11. Half that was all that was needed. Otherwise, it was a total blast.

There is really no river view as advertised. The food and service was subpar. Fairly priced, but I won't be back. Hushpuppies were not good. My fish and grits was supposed to come with slaw but he said they don't put it on the plate anymore. My husbands shrimp tasted funny. Hopefully, he won't be sick later.

It's been a while. However...my review starts @ Franklin's Cafe On Liberty and ends @ Tubby's. But b4 I post my already written review, I'd like to recognize that husband and I enjoyed Out Stew, Spuds, and the most sweetest Hostess who served us. I appreciate our server. I really was of themindset that she may have been a managerHowever, I do not have the receipt in my presence REVIEW BELOW:Do today, March 19th, 2024, Tuesday... Ooooooh My Goodness! Finally made it to Franklin's Café On Liberty Y'all! Butttt..walked uppuh in dey too late for lunch! It was over @ 3 for any made to order food! I really wanted to try there Tomato Soup & Grill Cheese w/ALL the Franklin's Funky Fixings i saw onnuh photo. Ummmm, I was so sad... Butterum, I got a lil happy when I saw they had "Carrot Cake" Google Church Family! Yasssss'Suh'Ree&Bob they did. Annnnd they had a Big'O'fat Red Cookie Too. So husband had that & I ate my cake and NO ice cream, too. Ok! Um good. Next, we drove on over to Tubbys in Thunderbolt for sum'uh'dat Crab Stew and dem ShoNuff Slap Yo'Own'Self Thigh #Spuds @ $4 bucks a pop. HalleGlory & Amen Google Church Family Today, just really wanted soup. Tubby's met me 1/2 way. Til next time... umma sho nuff make ion time to Franklin's Café. #ThatPartY'allOver & OutFranknKimm

Used yo love this place. The bacon wrapped scallops, crab chowder excellent! My fried food was very greasy with a thick, heavy batter and not as good as I have had in the past...what happened??

I got the special steak and it was not cooked the way it was ordered. The waitress noticed immediately and got it corrected. I'll go back but I won't order a steak again. The seafood my wife ordered was excellent. I'll try that next time.
