Puerto Nuevo Mexican and Seafood Restaurant

My favorite Mexican restaurant in North GA. Far better tasting food than any other restaurant around and the atmosphere is great and clean! The staff is polite and quick. Never have I been disappointed. The prices are also great for the food you get.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at! Puerto Nuevo has one of the most comprehensive menus I have ever seen at a Mexican restaurant - full of unique, appetizing, and appealing dishes to meet any tastes and to inspire you to try something completely new.

I had the lunch option of the fried chicken chimichanga with a double side of rice. The rice was top-tier, and the fried chicken chimichanga was cooked to perfection. It was crispy, well-seasoned, and had a delightful grilled flavor to the chicken.

I, also, split an appetizer of fried calamari. It was undoubtedly the best fried calamari I have ever eaten. Tender and breaded just right, it paired surprisingly well with the provided side of ranch dressing. Highly recommended!

The staff were extremely courteous, helpful, and willing to see to any of my needs that arose while eating. Service was quick and exceptionally thorough.

The men's restroom was well-lit, clean, and spacious enough to comfortably walk around and access the various facilities.

For anyone looking for Mexican food, especially seafood dishes, Puerto Nuevo offers the highest quality traditional Mexican restaurant dishes along with the opportunity to expand your horizons by trying one of their exceptionally unique offerings. Afterall, variety is the spice of life.

This place is awesome! I came for a weekend getaway, and my hotel staff recommended this place . Boy, am I glad she did. When I come back, I will definitely stop in again!

Food is great. Sometimes the quantity is lacking.

This isn't our usual Puerto Nievo, but the food was just as good and the service was great. If you're in Toccoa, GA, this is your best bet for Mexican food and cold Dos Equis.

Parking: The parking lot is small. We've been here twice during off-hours and there were few open spaces to park. I can't imagine how it would be if you were there in peak hours.

Very nice place in this area. I ordered stake and it was very very good. On side they gave me chips with sauce and salad. If you are here around, i suggest to come and visit this place. People are friendly and there are plenty of parking places out there
