I recently put a catering order in for an open house. I was behind the ball on time, and I was accommodated me at every step. From the person who took my initial call to the person who helped me at pickup. The menu looked delicious, and the food matched every expectation. Rave reviews from anyone and everyone who attended. I ordered the hush puppies with the bacon jam, crab & shrimp empanadas and fried green tomato sliders. Emily & Chef Eric were excellent to work...
Honestly wasn't that great. Paid $28 for a mahi plate with rice. Fish was the size of my hand, steaming hot while the rice was kind of cold. I'm not sure if it was made in house or came out of a box due to the temperature and the flavor. My partner you the fish n chips, fish was pretty good. The batter was nice and so was the sauce. The fries weren't too great. Probably won't be going here again, $50 for two plates, no booze just water, and no apps is a lot...
We stopped for lunch at Salt Island Fish and Beer. My husband enjoyed the fish and chips while I had the shrimp platter which was very good. I substituted cole slaw for the fries and my husband and I both thought it was the BEST cole slaw we have ever had, hands down. Highly recommend!
