The Deck Beach Bar and Kitchen

Had a delicious fried shrimp basket, but our waiter Prince Eli really made the experience special! He had great recommendations for food and drinks.

The Deck is a restaurant housed within the Beachside Colony condo complex. Park in the deck for Beachside (designated spots only!!) and follow signs to the Deck, past the pool :). The food was good and the views are really lovely. They do also have ample indoor seating and indoor and outdoor bars. The hostess sat me in an odd seat (outdoors) initially though reservations aren’t accepted and a few better tables (with views) were available…. I ordered shrimp nachos and they did not load the dish with either cheese or shrimp (eight small shrimp). That said, the dish was large and tasty. I also had a small but tasty wedge salad. I would definitely go back to try some of the entrée dishes, noting that many customers seemed very happy with their meals. I also had a nice drink. It is worth a visit if only for a drink and the view, but it does seem like the food is better quality overall than most of the other beach-side grub. Worth a visit for free parking and the view!!

Update: I actually called them to express how I felt and Tonya (the manager) explained that that is not usual for them and apologized. She offered us a round of drinks on them which was very sweet.

I never make reviews but I wanted to say something about my experience here. We came as a large group for my bachelorette and got a table outside. Food was great! However after 45 minutes of eating the waiter came by with the checks without asking if we were ready. We were confused but continued on with our conversation. It seemed like they wanted us to leave as they started pulling down the umbrellas right above our heads. At an hour and a half the owner came by and said “I don’t mean to rush you, but I’m going to rush you. We have a group of 10 waiting for your table”. He asked us to leave and we did but we did pay hundreds as a group. I don’t understand why we’re responsible for another group to sit down outside. We would’ve taken more rounds of drinks to celebrate! While leaving we passed through the inside with many tables available. Feeling really sad since this was supposed to be a cute dinner with my girls :(

Our server prince was the best ever. The most wholesome human I’ve ever met and gave the best service and/or reasoning to be a server. Food came out amazing and so fast. 10/10 would recommend
